The other thing that puzzles me is is why dont any of these companies use redundancy – ie take a server down for maintenance, or a server fails – you can have a spare one to take its place !!!!

Seriously mate, relax , games been out 4 weeks, its been massively purchased beyond Anets expectations, there`s bound to be teething problems . Aside from bug fixes there`s hacked accounts and scammers to contend with, gold sellers etc etc.

Take the opportunity to get a bit of your life back, i am…i`m off to watch some tv on catch up …it`s been sat in corner of my lounge looking very neglected recently.

BTW its not your server that is offline its the login server

unfortunately i just spent the whole day with my gf and ended the night round my mates (wrong order i know), now i just came home and seem to have timed this terribly cos i logged earlier on for 5 mins to show my mate this game prior to trying to log on now, during this problem. I’m not angry or any of that, I just have terrible timing :p

I am totally relaxed – I guess its unfortunate on my purchase date the registration servers were down, and now tonight – when I get a couple of hours to play – the login servers are down.

Was kicked out the Game when I tried to enter Crucible of Eternity explorable. So maybe the problem is to do with personal instances?

That bogus message really has to be removed. Imagine all the non-tech savvy players who don’t visit forums, which is 95% of the player base, getting hit by this message. How many of them will waste time and maybe money to try to solve this fake problem, which is obviously server-side? This is unethical.

I agree here, this game is wildly more successful than Anet could of imagined, But this is not a bad thing, in the long term it will mean that they get more more money to spend on development and improving the game, in a year this game will be the WoW killer I have been waiting for.

Think you`ll find they have a team in there 24 , or on call with remote access from home , and my guess is they`re actually busy trying to fix the problem and have got caught up in that, so no ones had time to post a message on here

portugal here same problem same error code.maybe they fell a sleep in Anet and accidentaly pressed shutdown button someone its getting fired tomorrow

If you’re still ingame, don’t leave the map you are in. Changing map will boot you.

if that were the case, you’d think somebody would take the minute to say “wait, fixing problem” at the very least, anywhere. Somebody would find the post and let everybody else know.
