Is it normal when downloading/installing GW2 without the physical copy for the download to be incredibly slow? In five hours I’m barely at 23%.

Your download speed? Remember gw2 is almost 17gb+ in size.

it sucks they don’t do what WoW does and after while let you play even though it’s still downloading.

No issues for me, downloading at 2 megabytes a second.

Chill out. A friend of mine downloaded the whole game for 2 days that’s with 170kbps download speed (That is why I’m asking what is your download speed). Now if you have a friend who has a gw2 installed nearby just copy his gw2 folder and save it to an external drive.
