Very Low fps
No clue what model “Pentium Dual core cpu 2500” is, unless you mean Dual core E5200

You getitng a CPU bottleneck. GW2 is heavily CPU bound, cant really compare it to other games.
Bottom line is ur CPU isnt strong enough.
Note: GW2 minimum specs does not mean ‘you can play the game’ it means ‘you can run the game’. Anet has no offical ‘recommended’ specs simply becouse they would be to high. Infact to keep above 30fps in all situations u bassicaly need a top of the line rig + OC, and no company is going to put on there recommended specs the word ‘overclock’.

Hmmm, just seems funny i can play swtor max graphics, which is cpu heavy plus has ram leak lol and i can play skryim max, just weird to me i guess.
My 5 year old early model intel dual core 32 bit PC runs GW2 perfectly. It only suffers the dc problem, normally, after my alts travelled through 6 to 8 zones.
GW2 however suffers latency and lag problems on my new i7 Razor Blade gaming laptop running Windows 8. I don’t think I will be re-cycling my old PC soon even though it is starting to make some funny noise. All movements are fine except there is a delay on all skill activations and interaction with NPCs and environment items. The FPS was also running at 30 FPS out-of-the-box.
I managed to improve the latency problem to a playable level by going into Windows Task Manager (after logging in but before hitting the Play button), select the Details Tab, select GW2 and then change its priority to high. I have tried the ‘Realtime’ priority but I do not see any improvement in latency problem.
I have also experimented various ways to increase FPS (from recommendations in this forums) on my new and powerful laptop (yes, it doesn’t make any sense to me) by
- changing all graphic card settings to favour 100% performance rather than quality
- changing the windows 8 power settings to favour 100% performance rather than power saving
- setting GW2 to run in Windows 7 compatible mode
- setting in game graphic and sound to favour performance rather than quality
The above settings reduce latency delay and improve FPS from around 30 to around 60-65. This makes GW2 playable on my new i7 Windows 8 laptop, otherwise, I would have to hang my boots up with GW2 once my old PC crashes. However, I still feel that I am not experiencing the same slickness and smoothness of GW2 playing on my 5 year old PC. May be it is because I have been playing on that PC since GW1.

10FPS tops at lowest setting is very suspicious something is wrong. Don’t know your exact CPU and where you are measuring the FPS, but it should be higher.
You need to do some troubleshooting. See Part 4 for information

10 fps on that CPU is totaly fine.
Intel at some point released 2 types of 2 core CPU’s.
There was mostly knows Core 2 duo E series and dual core series.
Dual core were basically core 2 duo cutt with cache etc so there were much weaker and you couldn’t really oc’ them at all.
I had once duel core 2600 ( or smth like that ) untill i changed to core 2 duo e4600.
With his CPU this fps is normal ( on my e4600 before changing to i3 i had 16 fps constant no matter of graphical sett ).
