1. ATI 7950.

i heard that there’s some glitch with this card in GW2
like small flashes in game time to time.. while using CCC 13.1

2. Nvidia 670

not sure this is better than 7950 or 7970
in color range, FPS, qualities of effects, smooth turn etc.
and this is more expensive than 7950.

any opinion for me?

cpu = i7 2600
windows7 64bit

dont take Nvidia 670

have only had alot crashed and so on with it…
Drivers not working
Freezes ( screen turns red or blue and so on have to push restart )
can only run the game on low grafic

every other game your gonna play with Nvidia 670 is working

but hey maybe im just unlucky…

Nvidia has something called physx… It can be good, but most of the games don’t support that and so the card will boos your game more than it is supposed.
And it will use some of your cpu to do that too… not very clever if you ask me :p
I have the sapphire vapor x hd 7970 3Gb, it’s maybe higher in price, but it’s pretty much the best card for that money.
Anyway, you can still look at this forum, and see how many nvidia players have posted a topic about crashes/lags/black screens…. Yet some people thing it was because they had a crappy CPU, but i thing the GPU has something to do with it too.

For GW2 they r both relativly overkill.

You might want to look at the 7870 Tahiti LE cards.
Examples:
Sapphire 7870 XT
Club3D 7870 Joker XT

This is a new version of the original 7870. Check product details to ensure ur looking at the correct one. it should have 1536 shader cores.(the old one having 1280).

It is as good if not better than a 7950/660ti but slighly cheaper.

You’re just unlucky.

@OP go with the best bang for the buck performance. GW2 is mostly CPU bound. So going for a higher price cards won’t matter much on GW2 performances UNLESS you’re planning to run other games than GW2.

I’d recomend the hd7950 and overclock, it is of the best OCable cards for the money atm, it is basically a cripled hd7970, u can overclock it to make it perform on par with the 680 or the hd7970 really good value.
