I’m planning on buying an ASUS N56VB-S4022H, and I was wondering whether it’ll be able to run GW2 smoothly or not. Here are the specs:

- Intel Core i5-3230M
- 2.6GHz-3.2GHz
- 6MB Cache Memory
- 4GB, can be upgraded up to 16GB.
- 750GB
- 7200RPM
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M, 2GB DDR3
- 1920×1080
- 15.6’’

You’ll need to help us out with some things in order to answer your question. What is your definition of smooth? What settings are you expecting to play at, and what FPS do you want to be able to get?

If we take into consideration for what I consider smooth and what want to play at; I want to play at highest settings besides reflections and supersampling at 45 or so FPS at 1080p. Will that computer be able to do it, nope.

That laptop will run the game smoothly on medium to between medium and high on a 1080p resolution. If the laptop’s screen res were 1366×768, I wouldn’t doubt that it could max it with around 30-40 fps enjoyably. Although I’d expect that thing to haul kitty on medium for the 1920×1080. Tweak some settings as well to get the best settings for you. This laptop will do well.
