You can turn reflections down to terrain and sky, that should help if your not already using that setting. Overclocking is the biggest performance boost that you can get for this game really.
There is also Razer Game booster

This application should help if your running unnecessary system processes.

A few things off of the top of my head, hope that helps some.

i7 3770k oc 4.5 H100i(push/pull) 8gb Corsair Dominator Asus P877V-LK
intel 335 180gb/intel 320 160gb WD 3TB Gigabyte GTX G1 970 XFX XXX750W HAF 932

Reflections to none, shadows to low/med, render sample to native. Enjoy. Don’t recomend game booster at all, u don’t need it cuz u have a 8 core CPU u can run 2 copies of GW2 at the same without any trouble, Gamebooster comes handly only when ur CPU is fully utilized which won’t be the case here by any means.

Core parking is a feature that Microsoft introduced in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Depending on the resource use of the operating system it may park one or multiple cores of a multi-core cpu to reduce the computer’s power consumption and thermal emissions. Once operations require more processing power, the parked cores are activated again to assist in the tasks.

Core parking can cause games to stutter for about 3 to 5 seconds or so every time new data(achievement, new loot, w/e)

This applies to all Windows 7 X64 and X32 installations where the system is using more than 2 physicial CPU’s and/or more than 2 “logical” cores – ie: all Intel and AMD CPU’s that are Quad-Core or higher.

Go to Regedit

Find this key:- 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583

Within this key, there is a value called: " ValueMax "

This value represents the % number of cores the system will park – the default 100% ie: all Cores are potentially park-able

Change the value from 64 to 0 so the " ValueMin " and " ValueMax " are both zero

You will have to find the key a few times and repeat the process for each time it is found – the number of instances will depend on the number of power profiles in your system [ in my computer it was only found twice ]

Do a full shutdown and power-off and cold-re-start.

All Cores are available at all times and none are ever parked – the result = even CPU loads at all times regardless of loads.

Other suggestions are to tick the Windows compatability tab and select "XP service pack 2 and also tick “disable visual themes” and “disable desktop composition”. That forces the game to work as a 32bit app properly, and use the systems resources as if it was in XP (ie no shared mem pool for graphics).

+1 for this advice. I believe this helped some SWToR players out too a while back. Just note that if you happen to have any overlays/OSD that rely on WDDM for some reason, that they may not work because of this.

Thanks for the advice but how much of a performance increase am I expected to gain if I disable core parking?
and I want to run everything on max so lowering reflections/shadows is a not an option
also what does reflections do ? is it like the light reflecting off the armor and water ?

Game will run like crap and have huge FPS drops if u don’t turn down shadows and reflections, overall is the only game option u can tweak that will reduce the load on the CPU, but fine if u don’t want to lower it, good luck with that

overclock that 8350 to 4.5 or 4.6 that will help.

and turn shadows down at least 1 notch its currently bugged on the max setting.

reflections need turned down due to the fact the game renders them even when your not in view of water.

this game has water under the whole map, and due to its culling sucking donky deification it dosnt cull what you dont see properly(to avoid the gpu rendering it) so the gpu renders the water reflecting the whole world all the time.

if you dont want to take peoples advice, please down ask for it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&Tpk=hyper212%20evo
thats more likely to get you to 4.5ish, you would want to add some TIM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835242028 (pk-1/pk-3 or even pk-2 would be better the stock TIM)

if you can swing it, get
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233087&Tpk=xigmatek%20aegir its good for 4.6-4.8 range. (a few ppl even got 5 out of it with safe temps)

with the above cooler, I would recommend a couple akasa Viper fans in push/pull, the best place to get them is sidewinder computers(they will ship to pretty much anywhere)

and the bug with shadows….main thing I see with it is a major perf hit, all the shadows in tis game are cpu driven….very very hard on the cpu…..

the Aegir is a bit of work to get installed but, honestly, its great, I have 2 panaflow 120×38mm fans on mine(because I havent grabbed vipers for mine yet, i have used vipers on 3 other builds with this cooler though)

scroll down to the amd section…..
