Hello,

After the recents patches (started the 1st october), i had a lot of issues.

As some or a lot of people noticed, fps has dropped. For me it’s obviously because i can see through objects and terrain.

This actually happens only at a certain camera angle but the fps drop is constantly the same.

You can see that on the screenshots that i’ll post.

What should i do?

Are you using an Nvidia graphics chipset? I upgraded to the latest Nvidia driver 306.97 and the issue of the the terrain anomalies and transparent objects went away for me. Prior to upgrading, I used the previous Nvidia driver 306.23. Anet released an update on October 11th that seems to have caused this issue with the 306.23 driver. I would suggest updating your video display driver.

You’re right, i’m using Nvidia graphics chipset but i already updated my drivers right when it came out. (new drivers notifications).

So yeah, i have the last driver 306.97.

those white dots are usually a sympton of the vram being clocked too high.

Never overclocked anything on my pc configuration and those white dots that you see is actually snow ingame

So yeah, i have the last driver 306.97.

In this case the OP’s symptoms are not of overheating but a bug in the, at least 306.23, NVidia graphics driver.

I haven’t tried the .97’s yet, but managed to solve the issue upon disabling ALL Reflections (in graphical options) ingame.
I need to test if the World Bleeding still persists after updating. I’ll update my post as soon as I can confirm.

You’re right, It works when i disable all reflections.

I guess problem resolved even though it should be cool if arenanet can solve this issue so that we can use this graphic option.

UPDATE:
I just ran my driver update from 306.23 to 306.97 and turned on ALL Reflections again, whilst testing in LA I didn’t manage to have the problem anymore… seems fine.
At least… for now =)

Seems I was to fast… still doesn;t work with the new driver

Hello I just wanted to add to this my experience with the same issue. 1) After the update, relaunch of client, selection of my character, and reappearence onto the game map – the client crashed. Checking the log file I found Out of Memory: DxBuffer (type:dynamic) (pool:8) (size:524288). 2)No issue had been noticed for weeks, during which I often change many setting on my graphics and updated my drivers 2 times. Running at Max Effects or thinning it down to optimize PvP performance.
Those 2 points alone indicate some failure to reallocate/release the previous buffer area causes a resource shortage. This brings me to the next issue. I’m seeing no indication of driver failure or restart in events log nor system indicators suggesting memory allocation issue or resource shortages. The system memory was load 29% of 8g at the posting.. suggesting it wasnt local memory allocated buffer but Video. The only thing I can see is that I have 1280MB of vid mem. and 2816MB or shared memory for vid bringing total to reported 4096MB..the working set was reported 3472MB to vid. Pretty tight. So yeah maybe ran out of buffer space. probably need more vid mem.. well maybe not but couldnt hurt. But it worked before and on many other games equally as demaining. Ok.. so I ask around “everyone says do a repair on game it fix mine! Noob.” So I tryed 4 times.. No change effected ‘Noob!’ I adjusted any and every setting I could find and some you really souldnt unless your Nvidia genius..all to no avail. So I begin looking at the drivers (which had worked prior to update) and noticed no binary/timestamp differnences between what was suppose to be there and what was us on the system. Hardware then? Fired up video/memory stress test passed 10 time and documented system power performance during this too. All good. Does any of this help.. not really.. Cause what eventually (baring unannounce quick patchs) was 2 driver reinstalls.. why 2. Because the first had no effect! This is the only thing my limited tech brain could find. During first reinstall a 3rd party software was operating in the background and hooked to drivers (a nono I know but it monitors fan speed temp ect.) Also, on the first reinstall I opted to just reinstall the video drivers after I had noticed that 3d drivers (which I do not use) where installed. I falsely assumed that the prior 3D driver package would be uninstalled dure the video driver reinstall, but it did not it left the 3D video service installed and operating without the application interface (or whatever the second part is). Non the less, there’s 2 mistakes that cost me hours. Why? The hook from the 3rd party software most likely didnt allow a clean uninstall of prior installation which inturn gummed up the new install. The next was the assumption that the 3d package would uninstall completely. But I tryed running it anyways and Guess what! Fired up the game and baam same thing. (I forgot to say also used the fresh install custom option). 2 days now on this- its the 18th.. I reinstall the drivers with the full package, including the 3d drivers, after uninstalled the 3rd party video card monitoring utility. Problem resolved and no error generation since.. playing game as it was.. in the end I’m still confused at how the update and the crash began the issue.. but the devils in the details.

Also kinda wondering why this is alway in every posted error log.. When I have repaired the game sooo many times.

I’m guessing the game client “-repair” can’t fix the Model ‘0×.....’ references. It would appear an armature for a model and or its components wasn’t set up right. perhaps animation sequences (e.g. walkcycles). I am crayon eater, one of those creative types that doodle with a Wacom tablet so its just a guess though — its been a while but if a i recollect correctly I remember getting similar error flags when trying to rig a model in Blender 3D, but don’t quote me on that.

Wait for next update/patch? If it hasn’t already been addressed and fixed.

As for the OP, the only thing i can suggest you can do on your end is tinker with the in-game draw distance settings. Other than that it appears the Z buffering looks wonky, particularly with the trees, from what i can make out from your screen capture.

I had the same issue with transparent objects, then it went away after a tiny patch 2 nites back.

I also downgraded my driver to a 304 beta and that fixed some issues and improved performance, which is the opposite of what some other people have seen.

Puzzling anyway… I suspect too much is changing in the code to do much reliable and methodical testing right now.
