have the exact problem! tried several troubleshooting and still nothing. were you able to fix it?
I’m having same issue, same code.
Others see me go off and on line back and forth. My contact page resets and I can’t see contact info.
Also, I can’t send tells when it starts happening. It is intermittent.
Wife Has same computer components, same operating system, same router… no problems with game.
Very annoying problem.
Also having the same problem. Started as of the patch a few weeks back. Everything was fine before that.
Also have similar specs to you (64bit, BT Homehub3)
hi ya,
Ports forwarded are: TCP80, TCP443, TCP6112 & TCP6600
Hi NITEVIPER.9652
Can you also check that the UDP Protocol is forwarded for these ports also not just TCP. I would also remove the port 80 and port 443 forward rules as these are usually not required to be forwarded, so test with those two removed.
Also if your router has Quality of Service (QoS) then temporary disable this and see if this helps, It may have the game classified as low priority traffic.
If you have settings for SPI Firewall then also test with this disabled as a few other members have reported this solving network related problems with their game.

Forwarding the ports seems to have fixed it for me. So thanks for that (not really sure why its worked fine for a few months without doing it but whatever!)!
Same issue, since the patch I can’t sign in. Always Error Code 42 and I never had a problem before.
Did anyone find a solution to this?
Additionally, I tried the port stuff to no avail (and QoS off).

Interestingly, flushing the DNS and adding the ports then rebooting now I can sign in. Weird.
I’m having the same issues as the OP for about the same length of time, I’ve had absolutely zero response to any tickets I’ve made about this. I’ve had to make another one today simply because the problem is getting worse and I can communicate with nobody. My girlfriend has the game, plays in the same room from the same router, no problem whatsoever.
As the OP says, this is killing my enjoyment of the game when I cannot even talk to my own friends or organise a party/dungeon with them because I can’t see or respond to anything.
I’ve tried port forwarding, disabling firewalls, antivirus, DNS flushing, sacrificing live chickens and yet nothing seems to work. Some official help would be amazing instead of just completely ignoring problems.
