I am having the same problem, directly from the client, i dont even get into the game… all my info is correct and nothing on my pc has changed other than the fact i havent played in over a month so the game updated… is there a solution for this???
I am having the same issue, tried logging in on 2 computers, and I get the same error. I have reset both my router and modem.
me and my fiance are haveing same prob and its been like this for over a hour now maybe 2 hours we been trying to get in we get to char select and click play and then the messarge comes up hope they fix soon

I’ve got the same problem in the last few days..
Getting this exact same problem constantly.
When this problem happens I cannot party with people, or read or use party or guild chat, making it impossible to dungeon. It’s very obviously not my Internet connection, because I can talk with people using /say just fine.
A trace I did indicates that I am getting 100% packet loss once the connection reaches a particular IP address in Austin, TX which is owned by NCsoft. I have little choice but to conclude that the NCsoft server is dropping the ball.
Same problem, on and off for past couple of months since I started playing again.
Mainly happens when an update of some sort comes, seems like a server bottle necking issue.
Also, apparently people have been having these seemingly random problems since the start.. very disappointing.
And all ANet seems to say is “check firewall, check connection” etc..etc.
I and my friends got log in server connection problem too.
Hope Anet can tell us more then “check firewall” did you ever think these problems came from server side?

I am also experiencing this problem.
I also get this, only it is when I am attempting to get into a dungeon with a group that is not on the same server.
Just started getting this message today.

I am receiving the same error message
It isn’t disconnecting me but it’s obstructing my view every 2-3 minutes

Same problem on JQ server
Have been playing fine, now I get the message in the mists whenever I use the server browser. It shows zero servers to play on and then gives me the error message……
Getting the same on Fort Aspenwood.
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.
Same problem as of this morning. Never had this issue before.
Probably the same reason the API is down. Yak’s Bend having this issue too
Having same issue and my trade post is not working. Everytime I try to list 1 item it says error attempting to sell “even after waiting 1 hour”.

Hope it’s soon cause it’s kicking people out of the game, back to the character selection screen. This is miserable trying to play right now, especially in the new dungeon. A group can’t make it half way without a lot disconnecting out.

This happened to me this morning as well. Like three times. And I am also getting booted from the game after about 5 minutes of playing. It says “Game client has lost connection with the server.” Never had this problem before. It must on Anet’s end. Do something about this. Some of us have invested a lot of time and money into this game. This is not cool at all.

… no it isn’t.. I completely could not play the game just yesterday.
I’ve been having the same problem all today, and yesterday.
Still happening to me … i counted like >10 mins on sunday.. i m totally shut off from all the chats except /all , /map …

I’m also getting this message, have been for the past couple months. Usually the box just pops up and I can’t talk to anyone/the game lags out and occasionally I get booted back to log-in, but after a few minutes it reconnects.
Sometimes my screen also randomly goes black (can still see cursor and hear GW music) either after the pop-up or just on it’s own. I can’t see the game at all and have to alt tab out, where I can see everything else I have open just fine, and then right click the GW icon to exit out and restart. I really don’t think these problems are on my end, this is the only game it happens with and I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling and changing my firewall settings/disabling them completely.
Really upsetting as the game has been virtually unplayable for me the past couple months and it’s been getting more and more frequent. :\
I have only played for about two days, and now I am getting this message.
First two days I got nothing. Now, I get this. It makes it unplayable. Emergency fix needed!
Bought the game yesterday, after downloading for 6 hours and finally getting to play it all worked. This morning however, I’m getting the unable to log-in error message. What concerns me most is that the mod that replied to this previously didn’t tell us anything about the issue, just that it was fixed when it was apparently not fixed.
This has been happening to me for the last two hours, happens every now and then but usually clears up in approx 10 mins, but this is getting a bit ridiculous, half the time it wont log in at the launcher and the other half it lets me to the char select and then boots me

Same issues – Been using the same computer, from the same house and the same ISP.
I’m getting this every two hours or so. Pretty annoying when mid through a boss/event and after relog it’s to late.
I’ve been logging my connection as well as playing streamed music to see if my connection is at fault, none says there were any problem when gw2 crashed.
Edit: last 2 hours, once every 30 minutes.
Edit2: Fk, it’s getting worse. Now I can’t even play a game of Queen’s Gauntlet without crashing. I want my tickets back (and then the game fixed).

Yeah, i’m the same. Everything else is running smoothly except this freaking game.
Kind of putting me off…
Been getting this since the 8/9 patch, can’t refresh the hotjoin browser and the error pops up whenever the solo queue finds a match. Can still play by joining a friend or by using the play now button.
I’m having the same problem, it started happening to me yesterday afternoon at the log-in screen. I have not been able to enter game since. Just tried and still having that same problem.

Try a hard reset on your router press and hold for 30 sec then let go to let the router reboot then renter the ports needed for the game.

This issue is far from resolved. Infact it’s even worse than before.
Amazing how Anet is ignoring those 2 kittening issues! There are extremely annoying!
I’m also experiencing all kinds of connectivity issues, and it only happens when playing gw2. So annoying!

i am having connection issues since last night an some today. loading is very slow. an will not let you log in to character
Also can’t connect to log-in server today. Had also issues with connecting to web site (this one).
