game crashes after updating windows 8.1
I am using windows 8.1 and it doesnt crash on my computer….
It might be your video drivers
Same for me. Even after I installed the AMD drivers for Windows 8.1 it crashes often.
Good no know I’m not the only one I’m running an and card too maybe their drivers aren’t as up to date as nvidia are

I am running A10-5800k integrated graphics and my system is not crashing.
What drivers did you install?
Intel 520 120GB + 240GB / 2 x WD Caviar Black 1TB (RAID 0) / Corsair AX1200 / ASUS VG278H
Windows 8.1 Pro x64 / ASUS Xonar Essence STX / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech Z-5500
Here is my system config.
Thinking of upgrading to Kaveri….
Too many choices in life

I have massive instability in Windows 8.1. Even the catalyst driver installation crashed the first time. I’ve tried the regular and the beta drivers, both don’t help. I think it’s just a Windows 8.1 thing seeing as how I also get frequent crashes in Chrome and Firefox, and get a blue screen every other night.

I had problems with my AMD videocard drivers after win 8.1 upgrade. It caused instability. After full reinstall of the drivers (not in the programs screen, but from af fresh install of the Original AMD catalist drivers setup file) everything is fully stable and performing like before. On a laptop BTW with AMD Radeon HD 7640G + 7610M Dual Graphics card.

Fully removed the drivers and reinstalled, but the problem still persisted, both with beta and whql AMD drivers. Microsoft released yesterday an update to IE and an optional AMD driver update (reported as 13.152.1.1-130910a-162613E-ATI in the catalyst cc), and it’s been stable for 24 hours. I’m running a HD6850 for reference.

Good deal.
Software conflicts are the cause of many issues. I recommend disabling as many unneeded start-up programs as possible (in some cases, also specific software services). Overwolf is known to cause problems with GW2.
I am having the same problem and i also have overwolf lol i will try to remove it
