I have not played for a few months. I tried playing again today, but the launcher is ignoring my 17gb gw2.dat file and redownloading it! It makes a new .tmp file every time, which I delete. I REALLY don’t want to DL the whole game over again if I don’t have to.
Is there any way to make the launcher recognize the existing gw2.dat file?

It is ~17gb if you’ve been playing since the final BWE. There are files which were never removed.
