GTX Titan.

Expensive but it won’t only blast through GW2 it will blast through any game on the market right now.

Surprised no one has asked what resolution you are going to be running on. If its 1920×1080 or below there are a good range of $250-$300 cards that will do everything on max just fine (AMD Radeon 7950 and Nvidia Geforce 660 TI).

GTX Titan is overkill for single monitor GW2, it won’t utilize it fully. Not to mention expensive, even if you have money to burn.

See Part 2.2 here to know what to get depending on your budget.

Assuming single monitor setup, most mid range cards will max GW2 just fine, the limiting factor will be the CPU, GW2 does not have allot to render, which is what the GPU does, however, world updates are done by the CPU, and GW2 does not make good use of 3+ core CPU’s and so having a faster clocked 3+ core CPU matters more. Depending on where you live, the 78xx and 79xx cards are the best bang for buck right now.

I have a GTX670 and in normal WvW and PvE I get around 114FPS with everything on maxed, world events sees a drop, but in most cases its 70-90FPS, WvW in large zergs though there is a single game thread that just murders the FPS and often times I will be in the 40’s, however most people see far less than this, I get better FPS because I have my i5 at 4.5GHz, if I push it higher I see far better FPS in WvW and my GPU most of the time only hits 40% load. If they change this at some point, it will be much easier for people to max this game out, even in WvW.

AMD 7870LE
GTX 770
GTX 780

CPU wise if u coming from a pre ‘i’ series CPU, get a Haswell i5 4670k or i7 4770k.

Well, assuming your resolution is 1920×1080 and you want 60FPS in the areas of the game that aren’t CPU bound, you’re likely looking at a GTX 660Ti/GTX570/GTX 760 (doesn’t exist yet) or HD 7870XT.

Not CPU bound I would guess even less than that, my 670 does not hit 40% load in most cases, I gave my GF my old GPU (560Ti) and gets better than that, however she hits a CPU limit often (WvW) because its a non-OCed 2500k, and she runs with everything at max I believe, I will have to ask her again, but last I remember that’s what she was getting.

So what you listed I would say are way more than safe bets on not being GPU bound, and would probably do fine with a 560Ti or the like, rest will probably be CPU bound. Good thing about the 560Ti is they can often be had for a good deal 2nd hand, but if you have the money to spare, getting the bit higher end cards suggested would not hurt by any means.

I hit up 100% often on my card prior to me hitting my frame limit of 60FPS and this is without supersampling turned on. I have a GTX 560Ti-448 OCed a bit, which is why I recommended the GTX 570 which is slightly better (when overclocked a bit like my card), then naturally the cards that would easily handle this in the Kepler architecture would be the 660Ti and 760 when it comes out.

With a normal 660, I would wonder if you could rock a solid 60 with supersampling on.
