Hi, since a couple of days me and many other italian players can’t play because of skill lag and blocks(sometimes my skills have a few seconds of delay, other times i’m completely blocked for 20/30 secs). My connection work perfectly with other games and i’ve always played on high settings with 60/65 FPS in WvW without lag. Help please, i’ts very frustrating

Same problem here, sometimes the connection to the game fades for about 15/20 secs.
I was using Teamspeak with my guildies and no lagging/crashing problems. (Same for other internet-using programs)

I myself don’t have any problem, I’ll try to ask to my guildies later to see if they have some issue, in the meanwhile, which’s your provider?
I asked and only 3 people answered (which is kinda sad, since there were 20/25 people logged in, maybe even more), 2 of them had problem and the last one didn’t, moreover they didn’t get their internet from Fastweb.
A thing worth noting is that a guildy suggested to add the commandline /clientport 80, maybe it can help to fix your issue… Here is GW2’s wiki page about command lines, hope this’ll help you.
Hi sirsquishy, i’m one of the italians with the same lagging problem. I have always 70 fps, my connection (Fastweb) works pretty well with anything except this game, apparently. So i did as you suggested and these are the results. I hope that the text in italian is not a problem..

Well I see 2 problems right out, the first issue can totally be causing your latency.
1. Your Local Router at 192.168.1.254 has 100MS lag. This is a local Metric and should NOT be more then 3MS. This needs fixed first, as this can and will cause latency from this point on. and its totally in your control.
2. 77.67.71.122 cdnetworks-gw.ip4.tinet.net, jumps your route path’s latency from a ‘normal’ 60MS~ up to 80MS. Thats a 20MS jump between 2 nodes. That can also be causing your latency. Before you do what I suggest here, FIX number 1.
Since cdnetworks is a local link with anet’s ISP (the next hop is literally with Arenanet), you can call your ISP and see if they can change their BGP route and take a different path to plaync.com. That way they do not route through cdnetworks to get to plaync.com (which is held with a completely differnet ISP). a 20MS jump tells me cdnetworks has a over subscription issue with that node. The only way around that is to either have your ISP contact cdnetworks and trying to get them to fix it, or have your ISP route away from cdnetworks to get to plaync.com.
But dont bother calling your ISP until your 100MS local latency issue is fixed. Infact, fix that then submit another Trace to this thread, as im 100% sure that the node MS report will be completely different.

Now, since I run multiple VPNs and have direct connections to different datacenters I can change my route path to NOT use Level3 if I wanted, and that would clear up my Latency. But instead, I called my ISP (COX) gave them the trace and they are now working to route to Anet away from Level3. They said should be done in and hour or so.
You might want to get into that router and change some of your wireless settings. I would say try and pin to channel 7 or 11 and stay on G for now. If your router uses N you need to make sure that no one else is using the upper/lower channels in the area, else you get terrible connection on wireless.
You can also hardwire to the router and rerun the trace as well and see what your local 192.168.1.254 address responds with (should be 1ms or less IMHO).
ok it’s all 1ms now, i think was the wrong channel (it was 11, now it’s 7). I’ll try again with the tracert of the game
EDIT: I don’t understand. When i trace the ip of my router it says just 1ms, but when i trace the ip taken from the game…it goes up again at 90/100 ms…

Then there is something wrong with your ISP/Router and you need to contact them.
You should only be at <1MS for the first hop in your TraceRT, even wirelessly IMHO.
Anything higher and its going to be a hardware/config issue.

Yesterday, I activated Shadow of Refuge with my thief and just after switching from signet to signet , also signet gets same recharge than SR.
