So when you talk to people, can you delete it prior to hitting enter to send your message? Does it appear as anything in the chat window if you send it out with your message? Can other people see it if it is sent out with your message?

I’ve never seen this before, I wonder if you now have some magical admin powers. I would try some adminish emotes like /kill (character name).

no it is just in the bar it does not apper when i try to say anything just when i am typing

so no one has any ideas then?

That looks like an input method indicator.

Some languages with complex characters (like Chinese and Japanese) use multiple keyboard input modes. Windows usually displays the current keyboard layout and input mode next to the system tray, but in-game the player may be unable to see that, so the chat bar has its own indicator for the input method in use.

You could check the keyboard settings (under “Region and Language” in at least the Windows 7 Control Panel), maybe there’s some extra keyboard layout configured in there that’s causing the symbol to appear.

I can vouch for this, although the game doesn’t like when people try to type in foreign languages.
