I’m more trilled about fighting in open field with everything that come with it than going into a enclosed gvg. I like GvG. I participated to it and I love to watch the fights video but personnally it mean nothing to me. A guild is much more than a 15v15. A great guild could lose a 15v15 GvG but still being a big part of carrying the server every weeks in WvW since the game launched.

TBH I saw [Mu] for the first time yesterday. I remembered your guild tag because of your pseudo bragging on forums. I was eager to find what you guys were able to and TBH it was a big let down. All I saw a 25-35 peoples trying to siege a tower/hill’s lord room with ac/balista and fail at it.

Next time jump into open field and be more respectful.

The problem with these type of folks that transfer from higher tiers is that they believe everything is “settled” with a gvg. I am sorry but balling up in a bunker/premade set with set rotations does not = skill to me, well other than the choreography involved.

Anytime you kill (while roaming) any of the higher tier transfer folks in these big kind of guilds it is always: “you are killing people with support builds”.

So when you realize these things you come to understand what a “great defense” mechanism the bunker/30-man/“gvg us bro”/zergball mentality comes from….

One day people may come to realize that running bunker-support is really just not necessary (even though it is effective as you win by attrition and hammertrains eventually when facing pug groups and even some fairly organized smaller guilds). Many of these same groups could run much more DPS (MUCH MUCH MORE), and have even better results, but more DPS mean having better skilled players in large scale fights. (Since you lose defense and support usually to get the DPS)

Yeah, but those groups are built to fight 40 people, not 5. That is why they sometimes lose or have difficulty with 5 people. Makes perfect sense to me.

The only guild worth mentioning on HoD is [Dx] good respectable players there. the rest are meh and MU is huge PvF but when it comes to open field ROFLSMEARACROSSTYRIA shame you cant emote when on the floor

Here is the funny thing. You outnumbered the group we had with us 3 to 1. So much so that we literally had the outmanned buff. Pics will be provided by Gornok today. Then, to make matters worse, even with the massive numerical advantage you siege creep us, and take 45 minutes to take bay, when you have lost the rest of the map (except northern towers and Garrison) to NSP. While I do remember you wiping some of the pugs we had with us, the only thing I remember dieing of was the boredom that you can create by never pushing and siege creeping when you have triple our numbers. Finally, after all of that you decide it’s a good idea to come on the forums and specifically call out MU.

Let me consult Zoltar and predict the next few days on the forums for you. He says,

Yeah I wouldn’t put too much faith in ANY matches during the month of December. (Season 1 hangover, PVE farms, holidays, school finals, etc)

reinforced doors are too stressful to take down. so we went to fotm. some of our regulars are on vacation or will be and the rest are in finals. but it’s probably the same situation all around servers. no excuses either way. will enjoy the rest of this week.

This isn’t meant to be offensive but i think we all know what will happen when either the current NSP or HoD matchup against any of the other Silver Leagues servers, even during this WvW period of downtime. I myself have spent the last week trying new builds, uplevels etc.
It’s not an excuse and Hod and NsP have outplayed us so far this match up but what i am saying is i wouldn’t take any sort of outcome seriously over the next month or so.

Were you sleeping during season 1? NSP has faced every one of the silver league servers, all without getting mass transfers. We have been fighting really well this week and a lot of the credit can be pointed at XOXO and ZoS for having a tier 3 Hills in your BL. As we see now FA is a tier 2 and YB and SBI aren’t too far behind. We stayed, we played, and we are still playing, again without large guild transfers. Gotta give a shout out to HoD and CD this week, I have had a ton of great fights and I for one am happy to be where we are. Well deserved and well fought for NSP!

I can only speak for myself, I know that we will not come in first or second in most silver match ups, bit surprised at the current score. I enjoy the fights, so when others leave because it’s not fun for them, so be it, this game is big enough for everyone. IMO

Yes you did, and got hammered then. It looks like you guys are playing better or have more peeps now but us(CD) and NSP sure are not the benchmark for Silver

The most entertaining thing so far about this match is reading the HoD website and them obsess over PPT and how much they seem to be gunning for NSP (I guess that is understandable since CD is sitting this one out).

I guess so. They had a few relatively easy months and everybody is pumped up. Then they will meet a server like DB and BP and realize that PPT doesn’t matter really. You either fall down when your guilds leave or become thick hard like NSP and survive whatever happen.

It is a vile but fascinating creature which is especially disliked by its own server Sorrows Furnace. Queue transition music. The first thing I notice after taking my first step down into the cellar is a dank, musky smell. Crikey! The scent of that putrid bile is overwhelming even for me. I can tell we are getting closer from the loud and very distinct mouth breathing. Keep your eyes open… Oh! There it is! Don’t move or make too much noise or you’ll startle it! Anyways, I’m glad HOD decided to flex it’s bandwagon skills. I mean, who would have thought that the top of bronze league would have more population than the last two servers in silver league.

Same deal with FA and SBI who are either winning or even with some Gold league servers.

While we have received ~20-25 transfers between MU and SWAT which has certainly helped, HoD has had a very strong internal recruitment strategy. Many of the guilds you see out there every day are working very hard to get PvE players into and focused on WvW. So far its working, although most of the fairweathers without being in a guild to support them left Friday/Saturday this week. We will see how it goes.

I was very impressed with MU last night, The 16 ecto’s I got in the 1 hour I played was amazing! Thank you so much!!!! You guys are great at tagging along the coat tails of PHZE as well.

It was in the wee hours of the morning, or late late at night depending on your perspective when about a dozen NSP decided to attack our Bay with an omega golem. We rallied our defenders, all 7 of them, to fight a battle we expected to lose as our Bay was paper. Imagine our surprise when we stopped the attack at the outer gate with mere fractions of life left in the gate, the golem destroyed and the attacking force annihilated! Better luck next time NSP but it was a good fight!
