Great fights from TG at fight club. One of best nights Ive had cause of all those 3v3 and 4v4s. Sorry SBI guy it was just too good.

I think the worst part about DB night-time is that 30 DB will randomly chase one person around the map until they get a kill which makes it impossible to actually get an interesting fight.

After about midnight I can forget actually getting a 1v1 or even a 1v2.

Just spent 45 minutes taking back a reinforced tower from Mag in DB BL. We were 30 vs. 10 or so, but our fairweathers, probably at least 20 of the 30, all they did was PvD. We couldn’t get them to do anything useful. I think it was a language barrier. but now I have an understanding of why Mag and SBI say DB is less skilled.

Yeah just wanted to comment here, not sure what gear you are running, but I normally don’t have a hard time with eles on my necro, and I had a very hard time with you. I was just glad to down you once, where I think you forgot to mist form the fear. Enjoyed the duels though, as a conditionmancer, my duels tend to end in about 30-45 seconds win or lose. I would put my odds at about 10% against you. (curse your -40% food).

Props for not running full PVT, or full clerics, or full apothecary, and trolling with a bunker build in duels. From a class incapable of putting up that kind of trollish sustain, you get a salute from me for not abusing it.

I never said we could. Why are you here in our thread again? Don’t you have babies to throw off cliffs or something? I just want the match up to be more interesting, whether we win or lose, is that too much to ask for? I mean JQ and BG can’t beat SoR, I figure we can’t do much worse than Mag+SBI did against our coverage.

Full PVT is awful for duels, even for eles. There’s no kind of sustain involved. But yeah, most duels feature players running a lot of damage, usually somewhere in the range of 60-100% crit damage since sustain duels require you to bring a lot of offensive power to actually END the duels given the sustain. Even then…I’ve dueled glass cannon eles and guardians (I am a guardian myself built for dps) that ended in draws.

I was the (only) asura engineer repping SBI.

This is a ways up the page, but just wanted to say you’re a kitten good engie. I was the terrible mag thief with the mad memoirs book. You (and most everyone I fought) mopped the floor with me, but it was good times and I learned a lot.

People always end up chain fighting me whenever I go to duels..

I don’t know why.

Mag got all nice and kinda soft in this thread. They may need some forum Viagra. It feels …….. strange.

As far as this match up, I thought SBI would stop showing up after seeing the numbers/coverage advantage we were up against, but surprising we had EB qued every night. Bannok + DC + pugs did great in EB, even dominated at times. Its by far the strength of our server. Our BL’s defense is a ….. work in progress, and that’s being nice. But overall a good showing for SBI and lots to learn from.

Yeah, congrats to all three servers! Ended up being a great match.

And to be fair, a servers home BL is the hardest to play on. Its a natural 2v1. EB is naturally set up to be even, the BL’s are not. I think we did a great job all around this week!

If you mean chain losing… I tried everything I could think of…. wells…. putting conditions on your pet and epidemic over to you… These trends of builds that have a little bit of damage and hordes of sustain are just so effective against a necromancer condition build.

While I can think of lots of different ranger 1v1 specs that I have a hard time with, most of them I feel like I can burst through eventually… your build for whatever reason required me to effectively interrupt your heal (theoretically) at least twice in a row to bring you down…. Since it didn’t happen, it is all speculation, but still.

Thanks for the duels, heres hoping in a patch or two apothecary will be as useful for necro as it is for ranger.

We went soft because for first time in this matchup we got even number fights where people didnt run away. Win or lose that is all we want. When people run from even number fights we trash talk and call them out on it for being bad.

Some really fun duels around 11:30 server time at the Windmill on SBI. Some fun 2v2’s and 1v1s of mag from iLL, CTH, and a I think DERP? We had the group with two mesmers. Really enjoyed the 1v1’s with the mag commander ele although one of our fights got interrupted sadly

Take what I say with the knowledge I am mostly a pve person, I had to start doing wvw a couple weeks ago to get my badges for the legendary. I am still learning.
We all have good and bad players, even commanders as well. Please don’t judge everyone based off the few. Sometimes them “bad” players are just more casual/pve/new and are just not as good as they could be with experience. Some people just never learn, you don’t really know what you are up against though.

That all being said I have much respect for both Mag and SBI who, even with scores being totally skewed with DB’s night coverage.. have not given up. I was part of the defense of our Keep on EB a few nights ago as well as a few other pretty big fights.. it was great fun!
Really big props to SBI though, I never really had any encounters with you guys which you stood over dead bodies laughing ect. (both DB and Mag I saw this so I am not picking on Mag here) I just find it disrespectful and annoying when people do that, no matter what side they are on.
I have not tried, can you emote when you are dead? there were times I would have liked to use a /bow emote but i never tried it to see if it worked or not.

nah im pretty sure i wasnt using mistform (dont really use it except against engis)
that round you got a pretty boss corrupt boon on me and i really couldn’t recover
life is so much more interesting without pvt :P

Very heavy condition damage builds are what give me trouble, not duration builds..But the heavy condition damage itself.

Once you get a condition on you, you can’t evade it.
