That was such a good fight. We started with a lot of pugs, who died pretty early on, then it was just PYRO+ME deathball with VR backline support. Probably 30 PYRO, 15 ME, 10ish VR vs two full queues. Don’t think any PYRO died.

We should have a video of one of our guardian’s perspectives up in a day or two. We’re bad at editing.

ME is the only guild in Maguuma that’s good at editing.

I respect ME for their commitment to open field combat. I would also like to say how much I respect the dfnd players. The last couple matches we have been up against mags the following happened.

I would often be out solo roaming, capping camps and sentries and yaks. Whenever I run into a dfnd guy who tries to or successfully defends the camp I am taking, they are willing to duel after on more even territory without the npc’s. I have not had a single unpleasant experience doing this so far whether win or lose.

I heard they ran to top level of SM when they didnt even own it, what nubs the cap circle isnt even up there.

JaNordy, that was difficult to read, man, both from a block of text perspective, and from a man his spelling sucks perspective.

Personally I think mags is better open field than DB is. Our server has yet to learn the concept of wave wiping (that’s what I call it). And our PUGs have no good idea what stacking is or what it’s good for. Once DB gets into an open field fight with near even numbers, we all spread out and get picked off. I wish my fellow DB commanders had some ideas for how to get better in these kinds of fights other than the go-to someone else’s problem response “Get in TS!”. No offense to commanders, I’m sure it’s difficult. But other servers manage to do it, and I’m sure not all of them are in TS.

Yea I missed the fight from Watergate and up until where we were a Yaks/DB sandwich and had to go straight threw DB, I hit auto run as we were going threw and turned on fraps.

That doesn’t mean that EVERYONE in EVERY zerg is in one of the Mumble/TS3/Raidcall servers, but it is used as the primary coordination service fo sho.

I and two other PUG solo roamers happened to converge on the SE camp on Mag BL the other day. I saw a solo DuRP guarding the camp. And he fought with honor against the odds. He didn’t put up much of a fight, but what can you really do 1v3 if you don’t take them by surprise? So there’s at least one!

However that same day as I approached the south camp solo to try to take it, a solo DuRP there ran away. I think it was a warrior. Well he was solo roaming, but he just ran away even though he had the NPC advantage.

I have yet to see a PYRO in a group smaller than 5. Nothing to be ashamed of. Solo roaming may not be their preferred playstyle.

The dragon Brand EA warrior who was soloing around EB Speldon anz area) around 8ish EST time, was curious around the build/gear you were using (if anyone from EA sees this

Maybe you should just set up a fight club if you want 1v1’s. Don’t be surprised if people aren’t solo roaming against Dragonbrand. Even our roamer guilds travel 2-3 strong when we face t2 servers that consider 10 mans a camp group.

If you want 1v1’s you’ll get dorp’s all day unless we have something else planned. A lot of us have multiple professions because mesmers and thieves don’t scale when you want to 20v40 keeps.

Lots of DFND guys solo roam and can duel well. I also have not seen them run from equal numbers like some guilds on mags.

Pretty sure I got ran over by a 5 man WE DB roaming group while escorting yaks less than an hour ago. Was ready for 1v1 or 2v1 but 5? o wells.

You were escorting the dolyak on YB bl coming out of SE camp I assume?

Yeah, we took no pride in that. 5v1 is just silly.

We did however find a 3v3 against SWAG and a 6v6 against VR which were more fair.

Still haven’t lost to any of the roaming groups on Mag or YB, but the better groups can fight us to a draw and disengage. Most Mag and YB roaming groups seem to run with mesmers and thieves which allow them to disengage, whereas I am usually running with heavies. Once we’re in, we’re all in.
