With leadership and posts like that why are you surprised that you get doubleteamed in every matchup during SEA. It’s kinda funny that we’re getting trolled for defending objectives against map cap blobs, stop blobbing as much and you might actually get people to want to fight on open field.
We play for the fights, but we don’t feel the need to get all of your coverage on on or two pins as SoR does. We’ve gotten used to fighting with far less numbers and if this means using ACs who cares – its a tool at your disposal. We play for the benefit of the guys who log in every day and its our responsibility to make sure our EU has a good handover vs proving how big your ego is.

Thing is we do run with around 25-30, and are running tagless. But if Rallians find up they will run with us due it’s easier to run with an organized group. And I can’t blame them, since i would probably do the same.

No offense, but the gvg arrangement with u guys is the most terrible experience I have ever experienced in the game.
We have done couple gvg before, and watched tons of gvg video from both EU and NA server which played by the top teams, none of those requires the participants to remove all the audience from the hill (where usually the audiences stay and watch the show) because the players can receive boons from ele and guardian audiences? Jesus.
And after wasting more than 30mins, then u guys just droped the sentence ’ we reschedule it’ and left? Seriously, u guys showed no respect. I really feel bad about it

I’m quite surprised that anyone would complain about “hiding in a keep” (or tower), or utilizing siege for its defenses (from earlier posts). Really? The tactical defense and assault of fortified positions brings constantly evolving (and entertaining) depth to WvW — it should be embraced, not shunned. If someone fails at overcoming its inherent challenges, then they can either endeavor onwards, or resign defeat (and whine about it…).

Now, combat in the open field does have an equal importance — don’t get me wrong — but if it can be avoided with no losses (of significance) incurred, then it’d only be a waste of time and resources; the fool’s choice. You could be a foolish victor, sure, but a fool nonetheless.

Many like to “zerg”, however, which is fun in itself, of course, but brute force only goes so far. Personally, I prefer sitting on an A/C in a tower, and watching the zerg outside, confused at why they’re accomplishing nothing but downing unimportant siege. Coincidentally, the message in that screenshot is probably a summary of their frustration.

In my kindness, however, I do offer my teddy bear and binkie to any lost, confused, and/or frustrated opponent that finds themselves at a fortification that’s actually defended. You’ll require more than just throwing massive numbers at it and “hoping for the best”. If you throw gold (golems) at it instead, then that’s fine, but hopefully that won’t be the extent of your tactical capacity.

If this happens to fall upon ignorant, stubborn, or just simply deaf ears, then that’s fine as well — I expect very little from someone (Zac) that would say such, and in such a manner.

I took a look at your pictures and after comparing green dots with BlackGate Invader tags, its more or less equal numbers.

This makes me question whether you’ve even truly seen a server blob in full effect.

I’ve seen first hand SoR map population moving as a single blob, causing ability lag etc..

What you’ve shown in your screenshots would not cause ability lag at all, which is the main reason everyone hates blobing in the first place.

I wasn’t verifying IRON’s stance at all. Just pointing out that those screen shots, taken during NA time doesn’t show blobing. (Screen shots show 6pm/7pm server time and most of those guild tags are NA guilds).

Yes you were, and your enthusiam in wanting to play against T1 servers showed the way DB came out swinging and took the lead right off the getgoat. Kudos to everyone at DB. I hope there will be many more matchups in the future like this involving T1 servers with T2s to keep WvW fresh and interesting for everyone.

You guys at DB have shown a great attitude the whole week even when you knew you would most likely end up in 3rd for this week. A real classy example we all can learn from.

One last thing. You guys came on strong last night holding onto Bay at SoRBL against us during SEA hours. Were some really good fights, and I died to you guys a few times too trying to cap it. Thanks for the battles, was really fun. Dunno who owns Bay now but hope you guys keep it until reset.

Overall it’s been a pleasure this week for Blackgate to play with Dragonbrand.

I missed the memo about how BG makes PR releases and announcements for the whole server. Where are those announcements made cause I would love to subscribe to that newsletter.

Regardless of why things ended up the way they did this week – I hope next week is more competitive.

While [CA] wasn’t mentioned in FEAR’s trashtalking of BG’s SEA guilds (we span that tz), the video below records my perspective of the WvW week, focussing solely on engagements with SoR. There was one encounter with FEAR in which some militia on both sides died but was inconclusive.
