I have spent a sleepless night to see what SoS is like when they are Zergballing and what I saw was hardly impressive. If you guys were not awake when everyone else is asleep, you would be on Par with Henge of Denravi. Maybe Henge is a underestimate. Perhaps Darkhaven? I can say this with all seriousness. Coming up the ranks, we’ve had the privlidge of fighting numerous servers. SoS is a tier 6, maybe bottom ranking tier 5 server ,skill wise and number wise. The only thing is their numbers hit when North America is asleep.

And so, thanks to Glicko, you will be able to suck points off better servers (like Ehmry Bay) because you can night cap all their keeps and hold them for a couple hours until they wake up and monkey stomp you. But the Glicko still awards you those ranking points. Until you run into Dragonbrand anyway, and get curb stomped back down into Tier 3 or 4 to repeat the process. Beware though, thanks to Glicko, odds are good you are going to hit Darkhaven and SBI at the same time.

After that the glicko works in reverse. Note how BP has gained nearly 40 points off of you. All your points have been vampired from Ehmry this match. Against Darkhaven and SBI, all they have to do is maintain a pulse and you will lose points. However I know both are reasonably competent, so they will fight so long as they don’t get demoralized. As such, you are going to lose a ton of ranking points will be straight down to tier 5, to spend the next 4 weeks crawling back up. Call me the prophet.

I seldom respond directly to posters who show ( by clicking their post history) themselves to be pushing their own barrow but I simply need to restate a few things hidden amongst walls of opinion.

After having played a mix of servers ranked 1 through to 10+ in the Random draw series, I have NOT noted a significant difference in individual player skills when looked at on a serverwide basis.

Just like my own server, our current opponents have a mix of skilled players and people learning the game. Please keep turning up to WvW as it is the players that bring the fun. I have enjoyed many fine fights this week, thank you.

EB will be fine. We fought TC, DB, FA. Some folks liked the action and transferred. Others will be happy when we return to T4. Even during this match, there are time that we are ahead PPT.

Any one can take on 20 players and not die when they’re focused on some thing else. Hell I do that all the time. WvW is full of easy kills.

Venomous? I’ve just noticed that the more posters complain about our Oceanics population, the more engaged they (SoS nighttime) become. Despite this obvious link, folks kept pushing.
Either those posters somehow wish ill-will on the folks on their server(s) who stay up late, or think that SoS increasing it’s score is a good thing.

EB was noticeably quiet when we had our meeting with TC, and this is the first time with BP; so I don’t know if people regularly try to goad enemies to attack their weakspots or if they honestly believe the tripe they have been saying.

Either way, they dun goofed.

In response to his question, I was simply informing KStudios that, particularly in the case of Aeros, so much of the hate Ehmry Bay once received from BP is now directed at [BURN] ever since your server’s chance of facing Maguuma went from near-impossible to unlikely-but-very-possible.

Aeros does foster some ill will to [BURN], but most of the server doesn’t really care one way or the other. You folks were an asset to the server no doubt, but your folks were obviously burnt out/unhappy near the end so leaving was probably a good thing for everyone. And rightly or wrongly, at the end [BURN] got associated with some of the larger drama queens on BP and we don’t miss their exit at all.
