Welcome back BG an SOR

Our Toasters , Coasters, Zombies , Pirates , Macs, cookies and that guy that parks our yaks near the keep have been eagerly awaiting this matchup for sometime now. Why even last night when I bravely faced 3O single handedly near the tower, When the dust settled an all those bodies an loot bags surrounded me . I knew in a instant…. The combination of herbal refreshment an beer might not have BEEN A GOOD IDEA. But those Skritt had to die. By the way I found some Car keys, a set of gloves , a pink helm and half empty keg. If anyone is missing these items , please feel free to pm me in game.

I was approached the other day By Commander Chuck Norris , he informed me that he would like to get back into combat. Though I found his offer interesting, I’ve decided that this would not be a fair Start to this matchup. For those unfamiliar with is work , I’ll quickly list some of his handy work …
1} Commander Norris once Siege Garrison, Hills and bay while standing at the mystic forge in LIONS ARCH. The Cap took less then 10 sec.

2} I once made the mistake of telling Commander Norris that we needed to Deny supplies from reaching the Garrison in order to claim it for later. So he walked over to the first yak he saw an whispered in his ear. That yak ran like kitten an for a single week not one borderland received any supplies(ours included). We later found the yaks over in COF hiding in the corner of the dungeon.

3}Commander Norris has a habit of showboating in the lake between hills an bay. He sometimes wrangles up the krait an “forces” (their word not mine)them to Pull him around the lake just so he can do some casual water skiing.

4}Commander Norris is the only one I know of that can 1 Shot A Legendary Defender.

5}While roaming the map , Commander Norris came Across a group Laying siege to a tower an over heard them shouting for a treb drop placement but had little supply to build it. Commander Norris just smiled. Picked up a small rock an threw it at the tower. The whole structure was demolished in an instance.. You an I now know the area as the Ruins.

6} When Commander Norris arrives on a map , The other 2 servers on the map suddenly Get the outmanned bonus an letter in the mail that says.“GoodLuck” best regards Anet.

7} Commander Norris does not spawn Camp.. He literally stands in your camp unharmed an Roundhouse Kicks people Back to Lion Arch as they try to portal back in. Some refer to this a Troll move on his part But have yet to see anyone not find the humor is this. I mean I would do it to if I knew I could.

Their are more examples clearly but you can see why this would not be a good time to roll out a bazooka to a knife fight. (your welcome) Just remember he’s still an option on the table so no funny business. Okay okay just a little funny business, after all , Here at RP central…. We Welcome the Insane.

“Carrying the burden of your supplies forever, we Dolyaks decided to take a break. The Great Golden Dolyak had summoned us in the lands of Tarnished Coast. Us Jade Quarry Yaks made this long journey and reached the windmill. Here we gathered with our fellow Yaks, some were of different colors and some were carrying gifts. The Great Golden Dolyak came forward and we all stood behind him. “We are going to do a Parade my little ones”, he said. “We must journey this land to show our strength and unity” were his words. So The Great One started to move north and we all followed him.
Jealous of our unity and graceful appearance, some evil creatures started to hit us. Their puny attack did no damage, so they scattered in different directions. Just as our peaceful parade was turned westwards, a large group of evil men from Fort Aspenwood came running at us. They slaughtered most of my fellow Dolyaks while I was seriously injured. Filled with anger and shocked by the evil behavior of those men and women from Animal Control guild, we Yaks decided to plot a revenge. And today we completed that revenge. We took their Tier 3 Garrison and dedicated it to our fallen Dolyak brethren.
It has been decided that if these evil men from Animal Control will not allow us to roam open lands, we will hold the next Dolyak Parade in their Garrison."

Yeah, yet another day I see Titan and [CA] laughing at dead foes.

I reckon [CA] thinks they’re really good.

Most guilds on T1 servers think they are good (in an absolute sense none are even close).

I think if there’s one thing we learned over the past few months (with the new matchup system) it’s that skill levels have nothing to do with tier levels. Probably the hardest fights we faced in the last two months came out of a couple Maguuma guilds. Once this revelation hit me, it actually changed the way I look at WvW.

How do you define skill level?

I ask because your idea isn’t clear to me.

The ability to do more with less, or do more with the same numbers. (Both in field fights and in structure assaults)

Can’t argue with the fact that everyone recruits and welcomes new talent, that’s for sure. However, if you’re going to make a convincing argument, I wouldn’t include the folks that jumped ship off DB as assets to help BG – if anything, they’re just drama magnets. xD

uploaded some reference from about an 2hrs before that, it hasn’t really looked any smaller from this side all day.

I am not going anywhere soon as I found the place and guild I was looking for.
I have been in many servers and I don’t see where is the issue.

First my Commander Tag breaks so i can not lead, but what ever RK will do some small scale stuff instead with 6 or so members.

Had some fun small skirmishes on the map and did some nice damage to TW and it was fun over all, only to be pointed out that our guild tag also broke.
We did some cool stuff on a small scale and our freaking Guild tag breaks, but if that was not enough after a few fights the dam ctrl+t broke and would not working either so our targeting mid fight would not work.

OH well we had fun and had some great fights, but dam things broke.

YUP!. Every time we are done planning around our stupid little problems something else broke. OH well in the end i had fun so it is all good.

Hello Darkjoy & HollyMolla,

I just checked my records for the matches between BG and SOR, with regards to large score deviations. About the data, please don’t take it personally. I am just presenting facts.

The wvw guilds that moved to BG and SOR would have already quietly sent scouts anonymously for more than 1-2 weeks to accurately gauge wvw community cohesiveness, commitment & communication prior to making a decision. The scouts would know if the server consciously lowering the score to attract guilds, to think otherwise would be insulting their intelligence.

On that note, I remember that 2-3 days before WM + Meow transferred to BG, I had a conversation with Jang about the scores for SOR & BG. He and I agreed that BG & SOR scores were fluctuating dramatically, and at that time BG had lower scores for 2 weeks. It was acknowledged by both SOR & BG that rest weeks were warranted due to the intense pressure of T1 and that MERC was resting after pushing hard prior the 2 weeks with serious CTAs.

Perhaps it will not be uncommon in the future for the T1 servers to push hard and rest due to wvw player attrition, the server leaders will have to manage HR really well.

I think this is a pretty good even match-up so far. I dont know though.. how BG and SoR put up with this skill lag on a regular basis.. it’s enough to drive me insane lol.

We had a SEA player on TC unable to play last night, again, the same horrible lag.

Oh man, us TCers are getting handled a bit! This has been a great matchup, it’s killing me that I can’t jump in!

Yeah, WvW knows their stuff. The PPT/score is quite telling as well. Hard to believe the “official” RP server is now able to run with the big dogs, BG, SoR, and JQ. Only 30k difference between TC and JQ last match.

The gap used to be much smaller too, the lowest gap last match was 14k between JQ and TC.

Good fights, even though there is a RIDICULOUS amount of skill lag. How you guys manage to play like this on a regular basis, I have no idea.

Too many fat zergs busted the seam on SoR BL. We all got kicked.

I guess I can’t blame ya. If I had two omegas and a 65+ man zerg rockin on a sped up server I would might stack and pvdoor reinforced gates on an outmanned enemys hills too. The gates just melts and you can heal through the one ac they have on you.

It would be silly not to.
