Don’t think anyone on TC takes that as an insult, most servers have fair-weather players and we know it.
I think part of what makes the T1 servers so consistent is that they are matched with each other almost all the time and there are no “easy” match-ups to accumulate fair-weathers. Most other servers don’t have that luxury – a few weeks of mind-numbing steamroll match-ups where you can do whatever you want, followed by a smack in the face against T1 every few weeks while you are still carrying the fair-weathers and just get rolled over. Hardly ideal for building a consistent WvW population =/
Yeah. We got a load of False Coverage during our easy matches, to poach a term from the [KH] crew. On an easy Saturday night, we run three maps queued on NA, with the third nearabouts…. And in a match like this, we almost never queue.
And I imagine the difference is exacerbated by the appearance of what fair weathers the T1s do have. I doubt JQ and BG (or SoR a couple weeks back) normally run with this many up levels. It’s probably why the chest thumpers on our server like to denigrate the performance of T1s when they see them on the field for fights too, coz we see amazing numbers, but, by the sheer nature of the week as an easy week, rarely your best performances…

Your whole argument is filled with hypocrisy. Just two weeks back this situation was the opposite . It’s not like we have no reason to recruit, as we’ve been struggling in 3rd place for the past few months… did we recruit to the extreme? Certainly enough to outmatch BG thus far, but we’re missing our 3rd head. We will have to see how truly strong JQ is when we get the good old JQ/SoR/BG matchup again.

Yea, don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against fairweathers, we were all like them once. Our guys just never have the consistent hard matches to evolve out of it. Our server needs to be obliterated not just once, but every freaking week to be honest. That’s how we shape our WvW core. You can say whatever you want against JQ, but they’re the grandfather of getting pounded against a number of server that rised up in T1 and stayed with it until they get the upper hand. Then there’s BG, I remember the time they kept getting push out of T1 only to get back in there….
…and now you’re both here with SOR in T1, where every battles is hard fought. I honestly envy you guys. :P

Speaking for myself, and I’m sure many other people from Blackgate feel this way, JQ’s getting transfers is fine. It’s great that they’re a truly competitive server in T1 now. The worry is that the double teaming shenanigans that has historically happened (because Blackgate was the strongest, so it made sense) will continue despite the fact that all 3 T1 servers are more or less equal.

JQ also began guesting to other servers to help and organized a few overflow instances alongside our own home instance and we opened up our TS to others too. PvE, PvX and the WvWers doing PvE from all servers are generally pretty open about helping each other out in this game because they all want to have fun. I know I’ve fought Tesquirtl more than once with my snugglebuddy Stealthzor and his awesome eyefinity AC skillz.

We lost [Meow] and [TKG]. [Thai] is not going to be rallying in wvw as a guild anymore. [WM] is mostly outnumbered and training. [ND] had their guild deleted and lost their main commander, but they’re trying to recover. [CA] and several other guilds have broken down into smaller guilds with the names [SUPR] and [TMD]. So, it’s not that JQ has overstacked their SEA as much as it is that we just don’t have much SEA anymore.

Im seeing 80 man zergs in all 3 borderlands from JQ. Sure, BG took a hit here with guilds, but define “overstacked”, because I cannot think of another server that can field anywhere near the numbers JQ can during this timezone. Right now JQs sea is the most stacked timezone in the game by my definition. And by no means take this as anger or frustration. I just like to call a spade a spade.
Errrr maybe this is a newb question, but this thing has been on the ground for several minutes now with no one in sight. What is causing this?
This is a JQ hope aura.
It means that on this spot a JQ player tried but was killed without even being able to use any downed skills. Sometimes the gas lights up from mixing with Oxygen and other reactive gases from the swamp and it produces a blue flame aura…its rather pretty.

Little fix, TMD is not from former CA. They are alliance between BG mandarin-speaking community – LLB and XF.
To help further highlighting JQ SEA number now, they have 3 maps constantly queue of more than 20 mins from GMT+8 2000 to 2300 and a group of 30 lingering around their own BL doing nothing. 2 and a half maps after 0000, let BG and SOR SEA together won’t match that number.

[WM] is just plain bored for lack of a better term to describe, if you understand the model/ playstyle [WM] was built and founded on.
They usually field only 10 to 15+ players each time and many have left the game to explore other avenues. The amount of [WM] players today on BG is a fraction of what [WM] was originally. They are not exactly a big guild to begin with and the attrition has taken its toll.
Jang Gun hardly plays these days as well as he plays other games these days and of course there are always RL considerations as well. So it’s pretty much the remaining [WM] just passing their time in the game.
Recent changes have also dampened the enthusiasm of the remaining [WM] players somewhat.
So, Vash is right. JQ is pretty much doing what they used to, it’s just that BG no longer has a SEA force as strong as it used to have.

Oh yes we did tick 400+ in that match-up several times. I didn’t say “for hours,” either. I play in Oceanic/SEA time for BG and have been for months. Also, JQ SEA does not have a personal grudge against us. Where in the world are you getting this information? I am a long-time member of [MERC] and Waha/ATM has been fighting us for ages. They have even come on these forums themselves to say that they respect us more than any other opponent. It is SoR SEA that JQ SEA goes toward the most. I know you’re obviously upset about this match-up, but come on. No one wants to read all these complaints.
