Well after all the hard work this past week we just get Vizunah again? I hope Desolation doesn’t just focus on farming lootbags, we need to try the best we can and keep working on things we’ve done well over the past week, even though Viz will probably overpower us with their coverage and organization. I feel slightly more sorry for Riverside who are 9 ranks below Vizunah , but here’s to a enjoyable week of this matchup.

The matchup is still fresh but i’m already more impressed from Riverside than i could probably ever be from Vizunah. The fight they gave us in Deso BL was really nice. I’m looking forward to more fights like that in the next 7 days.

Tonight was quite fun

It was nice to see more than one zerg from Vizunah which came as a shock as well as the numbers Riverside possess. I’d like to see more from MN in EB doing more of what they did tonight instead of constantly going for Mendon’s in small groups which you have done so in the past, wink wink. Also, I thank you guys for the loot, monies and epic fights you have given us tonight as well as the odd sandwiches (Riverside included)

I’d like to end by saying this week might not be as bad as everyone might think it’d be so chin up and look forward to the upcoming battles!

I am personally happy we get to fight against a server, which we haven’t fought this year. New things keep the game fresh. So my wish got partially true. I hope Riverside will not be completely crushed. So far the numbers they have summoned have been truly impressive.

Deso really seems to be married to Visunah. Oh well, I guess a French wife isn’t that bad…

Cause in our server there are many people that are really awesome, they are many good commanders, and there are people that just want to have fun, not playing for points but doing some akward stuff and cause there are such people (me included) there are so many ACs :p And believe me it was always so)))

I think it will be a fun week, I know that we can’t overpower you with manpower, but still we will fightback as good as possible GL HF

Oh Desolation, you really are getting screwed over by this new system, at least you get to tell me who out of VS and RS are worse. Believe me Desolation, it may seem like RS will get crushed but they will actually eat you alive, they use all the dirty tactics in the book. You won’t break RS’s fighting spirit, they will break yours like they did to AG. Prepare to be outnumbered 3 to 1 by their arrow carts alone. Again, I’m really sorry for you Deso, you deserve better

edit: I forgot to mention, I’m not joking, just ask Gandara, MS, Piken, Baruch Bay or FSP, they’ll tell you the same thing as I have

I’m actually looking forward to lose some points to RS this week. Hopefully we get nice fights, at least reset at RS border was fun! Nice doubleteaming against vizunah there at the beginning for a short while!

you’re one to talk, you screw AG over all of the time, MS and FSP know that because they have actually fought you (last year in november and december), every time we try and fight you fairly, you run into the nearest tower and spam us to death with superior acs, last time I talked to BB, they said “You can keep RS, we don’t want them” You even team up with other servers to defeat us despite the fact you could do it on your own. Most servers around the middle tiers think of getting RS as the short straw. I shall let Deso judge on their own, they won’t think you’re that bad since this is the first week they’ve fought you for ages, but if they fight you multiple times, you will drive them insane like you’ve done to me!! you have driven me so insane that I’ve even tried experimenting on AM so I can find out ways to defeat the turtle defence.

There is absolutely no way they can be worse than Vizunah.

The standard Vizunah strategy is to wait till 3-4AM (or whenever it is during the day that you have the least amount of people in WvW) and golem rush everything you have to offpeak cap, gaining 15-30k per day and resetting every enemy structure to T1, then “survive” the prime time by holing up in their T3 towers/keeps filled to the brink with superior ACs, ballistas, trebs and so on until the maps become deserted again and they can golem rush once more.

Riverside won’t ever be able to match their efficiency, first of all because their structures are being reset to T1 just like ours, and second, they have neither the numbers nor the coverage to defend every one of their structures with 60+ people on a 24/7 basis.

What ridiculous complaints and accusations. Really, if you put players from Piken, AG and Gandara in one bag and you beat at it you can never hit the wrong one. Only complaining and crying about each and everything.

Can you imagine any server that is worse than vizunah ?? There are only two times you see those french guys, one is from behind and the second when they are sitting in their keeps.

Wow! That didn’t last long then, the friendly atmosphere, I mean. And it isn’t Deso nor VS that’s got the problem.

Seems to me that we’re stuck with each other for the next 7 days, and we on Deso will do what we always do. We’ll deal with the other server strategies in the best way we can!

No one is invincible all the time! And whether it is the organised VS Zerg or the multitude of RS ACs – Deso will cope with it and collect those loot bags.

Haha, if this matchup was Viz, Deso & AG the thread would have reached easily 200 posts by now, full of TUP tears. But i guess as long as they are the “Vizu” in their matchups and roflstomp servers like GH, everything is fine.

We have been the longest standing opponent to be matched with Vizunah i think many including ourselves underestimate our actual fighting spirit, super servers have came and fallen and now little old Deso is still here fighting against the strongest server communities the EU can muster.

Iv been on Gunners hold Blacktide and Piken and tbh if deso can continue to keep spirits above rock bottom as a community vs Elona and Viz there is nothing iv seen before that can touch it we haven’t dubbed Viz Zombies for nothing m8, AC’s need to be manned 24/7 to match the awesome coverage and numbers viz can muster at unsociable hours. When RS rests their weary soldiers Viz’s undead army will rise clamber over and pull those AC’s to pieces in search of fresh brains to feast on for everyone your night defenders do kill 10 more will rise to replace them as day breaks and your troops awaken the unholy horde will clamber back into their tombs or the shadows of their tier 3 keeps and towers awaiting the return of nightfall.

It’s obvious ArenaNet has tasked Desolation along with a few other servers with the Holy task of curbing the spread of the Zombie Apocalypse

Desolation/Vizunah have sooo much more and better small scale players than all the other servers i played against before.

Ofc they have this brain less wvw zerg… but hey so do other servers.

I just wish some players had more honor – dont laugh, dont be rude, stop fighting if players inc in a 1vs1 fight (the 1vs1 has started after /bow)

For the first time playing againstVizunah i can totally say, that everything i heard of, is completly true.
never seen a server running away from fights like that bunch of frogs. even if they are more, it seems that they have no fun in fighting. looking for the nearest tower where they can hide their bracket one faces in.
Hillarious how they can have fun. But Elona did the same. It´s kind of a bracket 1 illness imo.
IF fought on Deso bl at reset and we had a lot of fun. fighting the middle keep over and over
I like the deso mentality. Good fighting people/guilds there.
And for the Aurora guy, trolling around here. Yeah we broke you. Be ashamed of it. But i think that Deso can handle us and will hopefully tell you another story.
Compared to elona or Vizunah we fight enough battles in open field without buiding ac.

The weekend i stop playing. I get a most happy sight of viz in t2 lol. Making by there own logic just another server regardless of 29 medals. It will show you are 4th not in t1 this week.

No doubt we will get its not tiers anymore bla bla anet screwed us by roll. Well then you would be hypocrites to think you would still be winning if anet did not shaft the best server for guilds+coverage that was sfr 2.0 then anets bright idea to allow free transfers to a server dominating viz and t1.

The 3-4th battle vs viz in them 5 weeks was good effort by Viz with troma roleplay etc. i respect you for that. However after 2nd week i knew it was gonna be impossible to get you out of t1 cause desolation was terrible. plus iron had issues and deso never really worked together as server.

Also it had nothing to do with being french this is totally stupid when i hear that. If anything i loved fight old arborstone before you butchered it to get more zombies on viz. Also Augury was probably one of best servers for running alone, and they did not even speak english and they understood to not follow unlike the other 10+ eu english speaking servers. tempest/ war / wl etc hell even soul reapers running alone. lnm usual blob. There is some underline weird national pride from french on gw2 for sure which is where the so called i hate french crap came from. I just hated viz but you had lnm and other guilds that wanted viz because it was french at #1 just to have it as some pride thing. Maybe secretly they wanted to be on viz i dunno.

Then we had VIZ with your uppity attitude we have best server we play the game different!. But we still have the best players because we are #1 and you believed that so blindly even after we beat you at your own game of campaign not just winning but domination. But then it was no no you had morning coverage.. more hypocritical nonsense when you did exactly the same you just got outdone. Same with blacktide.

Your staying power was the only thing but it was only down to fact you had biggest population on viz to start with numbers in EU. Then most bonded national servers to feed Viz from with the logic from above then you could mold them into being stubborn AC warriors.

My whole point to remove you from t1 was too see there is more to game than just campaign which meant nothing at all. You gained nothing but yet so happy to have terrible server bar 1 guild. As above you held on so tight to fact you was #1 server which made you good was false. The only way for you to see sense was to remove you from it.

Then after that it was just delusion and self denial of viz players we had to endure. This most evident after 5 weeks of domination of viz then free transfers screw SFR that 8-9 guilds leave because we cant get into the zones because of pugs. The old sfr pugs being great doing solid job. but then adding 1000s of leeches just to say look i am on t1 winning server kinda using same crazy logic as viz in way..

However in viz mind and on jol forum it was a great victory we fought back and brought down the evil sauron! so much delusion there was no one even fighting. The sfr had meeting when all guild left to just take 2 weeks chill. But no the big viz propaganda machine was out we won and destroyed sfr!. If anything it was Anet not viz. Add in skill lag when running with 20/25 vs 80 you could not even move. Yet alot of guilds/server thought that was epic cause they killed us at any cost. Where deep down degrading your guild rep forever and internal skill of players.

I wanted you to start using your guilds better. But this was never gonna happen which i don’t need to even write about you can watch liryc 2nd vid vs VIZ when we first fought you. FM MORT WL main viz guilds all running alone 25-30. Die few times then starting to run together from there the dawn of blobing because you could not win by trying to be better as guild. Then the excuse i hear thousands of times how we play for server as collective. Blatant excuse for covering bads to run in 100 man blobs. Que dawn of blobs. RG > Viz guild > viz blobs > deso blob to counter > culling removal took wrong way > game meta > now.

So now by being t2 your legacy is over cause its not special since you cant say you have been in t1 forever!. I did not even need to make sfr 3.0 because i knew one day you would get bored and would never be able to hold t1 forever.

Ironic on day i fold guild and quit 5/7/13 gw2. Is day viz as legacy means nothing thanks for that Anet.

So in the end the great eye ever watchful wins the day. The big bad Sacrx > viz even without doing anything. I wish you well back in t1 next week. Maybe i will get a new account and secretly lead you out of these hard times from t2. Special kiss to META guild always some good laughs. I haven’t been following the other server threads so carefully, but do they also have so many people outside the match up writing articles?

Like Desolation threads have regular commentators (and readers) from SFR and ER. And in this thread Shino from Aurora Glade and now Sacrx.

He probably realizes many Desolation players (including myself) are from Blacktide and I remember when RG was still there.

Desolation has been facing impossible match ups for 6 months and lost many major guilds. I think other servers would have crumbled after so big exodus. But still new players are coming to play WvWvW for Desolation every day. Some brave players transfer from other servers, knowing very well Arenanet’s “lucky” random roll will place us against top servers with bigger blobs. New guilds are forming. People are buying bigger loot bags and more bag slots to fit all the loot.

Sacrx called Desolation terrible and said we never worked as a server. Well, if that is true then why are we not sinking like a stone? Why did we end up second last week? Why are we not losing more points to Visunah despite they clearly outnumber us? Why isn’t SFR doing any better despite they still have lots of hard core WvWvW guilds?

I think Sacrx is wrong in this respect, despite he is obviously a great commander. After the loss almost all hard core WvWvW guilds, we are mostly PuGs, but we got the best hard core PuGs this game has. Surely there are many things we can still improve e.g. internal communication, but Desolation definitely works together as a server now.

Our rank seems to have stabilized around 6-7. With better 24h7 coverage e.g. some NA guild here it would be several steps higher.

I got Summon by Myrmi, Riverside i’m happy that you got vizunah maybe you start to understand our side and why trying to running the same number of the enemy is good and fun, at that point you see the real teamwork.

for a start, not trolling, I’m only on this thread because I’m trying to warn Desolation so they can prepare themselves for what you have install for them, I don’t want to see another server get dragged into your turtle defending trap. Just remember the only reason you decided to keep trying to break AG’s spirit was because we were better than you at one point (look at MOS, you’ll see what I mean), AG RS and BB had a 6 week long matchup where AG and BB trounced you, that was until you decided to go crazy, only because we helped BB get a few hundred points ahead of you so they could be green. You may have broken our fighting spirit, but we shall rebuild and rebuild until we win. Deso, hopefully you will join the survivors league with AG, Gandara and the rest of us. We need more soldiers to fight the zombie apocalypse!

I forgot to mention, hiding in keeps, teaming up, blobbing and spamming with superior arrow carts is absolutly nothing to be proud of. The most ridiculous part is: you actually find pride in it! I don’t know how you could be proud of what you do, you ruin the fun for WvW players. I suppose I say all of this stuff but then again, AG wouldn’t really be bros with Gandara if it wasn’t for the mutual dislike of turtle defenders, so that’s one thing you have done well, it’s always nice to have bro server. Depending on how much you annoy Deso, you might have Deso joining the anti zombie apocolypse team.
