Anything but RoS. A stronger server preferred again. They whine less(cause they are stronger and don’t have much reason to whine).

RoS imho should fight against Vabbi permanently.

The problem with this is that because of where the tiers break up, in order for someone from t4 to come down to t5 for a week, either SBI or BP will have to go up to t4. This will leave a weaker server in the third slot in t5, which always makes it easier for the strongest server to dominate, and they may not lose many points.

I’d still like to try it just for fun though. Bring on Kain/SBI/DH!

Looks like all my wishes came true! BP keeping pace with Yaks is a small surprise, but not totally unexpected. I’m happy they are getting to prove themselves. DH also keeping pace I didn’t expect. Keep it up guys! SBI, too bad you also got SoS just because that’s already a familiar match, but again shows that the gap wasn’t as big as it looked.

Loving the match with TC and DB, tons of fun on reset and this morning.I really hope we get TC again in the near future. Reset night was probably the most fun and challenging night of WvW ever.

Hoping for 1 french and 1 german server. This is always the best. Not too much wine at forums and more playing instead of forum whoring cause usually most stay at their language forums.

Against FSP thread started good… but that was only at the start of the thread… (they really could remove all matchup-threads and the sub forum).

But it’s never a Gaussian as
- the ranking distances are not equal and
- the possibilities on higher and lower side and not equal (at least on the top and bottom of the ranking).

We should really make this a weekly thread like the match ups b/c it’s getting a lil out of hand due to opinions changing week to week.

this kind of dip occurs because the matchup probabilities aren’t independent. what matchup you get also depends on the matchups that other servers get.

BT and WSR are unlikely to face each other, because in order for that to happen a server other than BT or WSR must get matched up with FoW and Vabbi. FoW and Vabbi are in the unique situation of being forcibly paired together — you never play only one of them; if you get one you are guaranteed to also get the other.

so, FoW+Vabbi are guaranteed to be matched from the start. if you want to get BT+WSR as another match, you need to find a server to go up against FoW and Vabbi (other than BT+WSR) and you also need to find a server to play against BT and WSR (other than the server that’s playing FoW+Vabbi).

it turns out that such a combination has slightly less than a 10% chance to come up. it’s far more likely for either BT to play FoW and Vabbi (and WSR gets to play somebody else), or WSR plays FoW and Vabbi (and BT gets to play somebody else).

first of all, there are a lot of ex-Kodashis on AM, who’d love to rough up some of their fellow exGuildies for fun or generally those guys, who made us leave kodash in the first place (ranters, naggers and all that sort of ppl)

second, i’d love to play vizunah for once, just out of curiosity, not bc i’m hoping to gain anything from it. If Vizunah’s not possible, ER were always interesting enemies. Of course we were no match for them and the huge armies (it seems, that nowadays nobody knows the meaning of zerg anymore ) kinda kitten up the framerate and the skilllags are horrible. but there’s only one way to improve your gameplay and it’s not by facing weaker servers or servers who prefer to GvG all the time instead of properly playing WvW as intended.

That being said, I once again try to summon Kodash for the next reset by dancing and shouting in circles.

First choice, the new Tier 3. CD’s havocs and SEA, Mag’s NA prime swagger, and SoS’s Down-Under Thunder.

Failing that, SoS, (anyone but CD since they’ll gun for us), and FA. 2v1 all week and bruise some fragile egos.

Well Darkhaven is really making the push, Last weeks fight makes me sad. Because we had the match in the bag and the PVE event pulled all our fairweathers out of wvw.

with the way DH/Yaks/BP should have gone. Along with the way DH/SBI/Kaineg is going I would love to fight Dragon Brand and Ehmery Bay. I know we would be WAY over matched..but ive always had a Bromance with Ebay as a server. so id like to see what they bring to the table.

That and the chance for me to run into Faux Sheaux , the famous ranger on the battle field really makes things exciting!
