Guild Wars 2

I joined ET just before the leagues started (bad call on my part) and ended up in a guild which then left the server. But from everything I’ve seen from there we have potential if only some people would shut their mouths. DI left with 30 wvwers -> ET hated on them. AKD left with 35 wvwers ET hated on them. BoM left with 50 wvwers and we hate on them now. When you see the message below posted on match up forums its clear what the problems is:

I’m just amazed! Surely we should be looking to mend the broken bridges and bring people home rather than saying we are better off without them. What server in their right mind posts that they are better off without 50 active WvWers; or in fact 110+ that we have lost in the recent past.

ET short your S**T out or this will sadly be a very short experiment in coming to your server.

Yeah, that quote is mine, and I keep it: I never liked Gilfirkin anyway… To not say the many times I stayed up late to try hold things togheter until the night crew kicked in and they never showed up (Some of my friends on other server even joke saying that our night crew was fairweather).

You can’t make me love them for that. Just as I’m sure they don’t like me either… But that’s my personal feelings.

But then again: Why would I love a guild from another server? Once out of ET, you’re just another red name that must be eliminated.

That basically. I myself do not say anything bad about hating on guilds that leave. But its the truth once your not on ET why should we still love and praise work you do? But the biggest thing that causes a lot of to hate the people that leave is because of the fact that these people advertise for members which is perfectly fine. Then just quit on us taking our hard developed population with them. I myself have trained quite a couple of the members that left the basics of WvW since they were new rookies on the block. It just makes me annoyed that i train these people and then they just leave. Thats prolly the only reason that causes me to hate the people that leave. ET gets close to no transfers usually, and our WvW pop is mainly drawn from our new PvE players. So you must understand that there is a certain frustration with people leave.

was busy fighting to get recruits for ET during the 2-3 weeks after DI left the server??

Oh well… Gotta admit GoM is by far the strongest when it comes to off peak but we are able to defend from their zergs and swarms whenever our server mates take a good sleep. We don’t hide at all, in fact we keep getting better and better. :P

And I thought ET had a strong nightcrew without BoM since there were only 3-4 of us
on those times? Anyway good luck to ya.

For me, it really does feel like we are having more fun after AKD and BOM left… the drama is gone, there are no more Guild chest beatings and finger pointings.

Sure our PPTs dropped significantly, but I believe those that connected their game satisfaction with PPTs are the ones that left looking for greener pastures… those that stayed enjoy the company we play with, and gain satisfaction from accomplishments like overcoming challenges that comes from being outnumbered, like holding a keep, turning our map one color, beating a larger zerg in open field battle… fun.

Small communities have advantages… we pretty much know everyone, I recognize all the voices in TS. Our Guild events, such as WvW training by our newest Guild, and GW Trivia, with cool prizes, by one of our oldest Guilds seems much more common, accepted and appreciated now.

The initial bitterness in ET towards the Guilds that recruited and left is understandable, but I found that the bitterness faded faster than the departed Guilds probably wished for, as evident by them coming back trying to stir the pot.

If you ask most folks in ET, I believe you will find that we are in a good spot… but as evident from the posts here from those that left, they seem to predict and hope that we are worse off without them… it’s that kind of ego that is probably better fed with higher tournament scores.

I think all-in-all it’s a win-win by everyone that is, or was, in ET… enjoy your game, however you decide to play it.

Seriously, we don’t have any reason to be here but you kept bashing our guild leader and guild intentional or not. We were not the ones showing ego or seeking
attention here. We merely first reacted by some people’s posts here because it was offensive and ridiculous. But nonetheless, I do hope you guys beat ebay and get better. cya and have fun!

Hmmmm, I did said ET was a complete wasteland while I was on Darkhaven, and I keep that quote. After all, We have outmanned buff up like 95% of the time on EB, and everytime a enemy blob-zerg show up on our BL we get outmanned aswell. But other than that, I’m sure I never trashtalked ET.

Now about after DI left…
I wasn’t in contact with anyone on ET during the following month (I was on Maguuma at that time), and I was experiencing the shattering of the BS that moved there (Now [FcTR]) to worry too much about what was happening down here… I was impressed when I was told that AKD left and never heard of them since (I think they are on Wagonbrand? I don’t know).
And my feelings about BoM are on my other post, but really, I think my major issues were just with Gilfirkin which ended up reflecting to the rest of BoM since he was one of the main members (I don’t remember actually having problems with Elderlight, Aggie and others…)
