Arrow carts now require Line of sight to fire.

realy? wow…. if its true… just wow…

And it work great Sometimes you can shoot with ac without line of sight, but on some places you can’t. Only way to know is to build ac and try.

So long ACs for defensive use, will have to place them on the edge of the wall, visible for all to attack.

Well, no need to waste rankpoints in AC mastery then, which makes choosing all the easier.

You can still shoot from back off wall, just on some spots it say no line of sight, but most times it work. Guess they wanna fix some exploit, like zoom out to much to shoot ac, shoot inside tower with ac through space above doors….

which means they finally fixed the ac through the gate exploit then?

I dont think it require a line. Rather an arch with unknown radius which makes it a mystery.

Bows fires arrows nearly at straight line.
But AC fires in great arc.
I think, they need to make AC firing system like trebs and catas then…

It’s been a while since I used an arrow cart so I don’t remember, but did they ever have a minimum range? The marionette event ACs have a minimum range, and it’s possible they added that to the wvw ones with a generic “No los” message if you try to fire too close.

Ac always had a minimum range.

I hate anti player siege like ACs. IMO Anet should just remove that crap entirely. Siege should be solely for destroying walls and doors. Instead Anet should add other options for defending, e.g. loopholes, trenches and stuff like that. FIGHT LIKE A REAL MAN!

A real man fights via “loopholes, trenches and stuff like that”?

If AC are vanished, walls become finally useless as well. So drop walls and doors as well

the safety of walls is just an illusion for the time being

Soldiers take every advantage they can using any weapon available and/or cover.

I’m all for any siege or weapon that gives me an advantage over the enemy. I don’t care how you die as long as you do it as quickly as possible so I can turn my attention the next target.

Fair fights are for fools and children.

Need more specifics. Can someone put up a video of this? I’m in a mild panic, since siege is my specialty.
