This thread is not a discussion. This thread is a dumping ground for all of your ignorant opinions with everyone else telling you why you’re being selfish.

Right I am being selfish because 20 people want to sabotage the rest of the servers effort.. and the everyone your talking about are mostly "GvG"ers because the rest of the community either stays off the forums because of the poison or passes over the thread cause “GvG” is already considered a joke and a inconvenience. God It is a good thing you guys refuse to play nice if you did more people might actually do it.

I made a post here but it just said what all the other dedicated WvW-players said so far. There is no talking to this guy and his agenda.

Guilds are gonna GvG. Deal with it. When we’re done GvG’ing we’re gonna come smash the PUGs. Keep making threads, maybe ANet listens to you and gives more guilds a reason to leave the game. Let’s see how well your precious tally is doing then with no-one with actual open field tactics to come wipe the guys taking your keeps.

Maybe ANet even gives us GvG arenas and we can just GvG all day and let WvW be a PUG-fest.

Each server has players that spend allot of time to try to succeed and have to deal with the distraction of “GvG”, taking spots and pulling players during a war stunting server mobility and being counter productive as a whole in respect to the game mode. The much larger problem is that these players are exploiting the loot and wvw exp systems.

If there’s a queue on the map, the GvG group won’t fit and will go elsewhere and your argument is invalid. (All maps could only be queued in T1 anyway, right?)

If there’s not a queue on the map then they’re not ‘taking spots’ and your argument is invalid.

If you’re trying to argue GvG open field fights are an exploit, WTF I don’t even…?

I don’t know how your guys team runs on other servers, but ours for instance has reactive teams with only scouts or small guilds on most maps apart from like reset and sometimes na prime time when the ques are full. (Ut oh now im giving away trade secrets lol) If someone needs help and you and your spectators are taking up spots well they are just sol.

Some of you guys talk about Im ignorant because I call “GvG” a micro community. Lets take the US for instance there are over 5 million copies sold lets say the US makes up 1/4 (its likely much larger) and there are 71 teams on your guys ranking site 71×20= 1420 of 1.3 million

Please give it a rest.

Gvg isnt kill trading, it’s just guilds looking for gameplay other than megablobbing, off hours pvd and massed omegas.

Blame anet for not giving guilds a venue for genuine medium scale open field pvp.

I’m going to wager gvg will actually gain traction rather than be marginalized, as wvw can be extremely stale depending on the circumstances.

WvW is a venue for it but it has primary objectives that are fought very hard for early in the week. If you go into wvw right now its a ghost town for the most part and that is why I suggested the times I did.

Basically there are following main reasons:
Guilds having more than one GvG for a week (lucky kittens)

A. 48 hours is a long time man and with the empty maps you would have on the 48 hours before reset you could organize more than one fight at one time or even tri matches.

Guilds that have far less brawls than they would like so they agree on any reasonable time their opponent proposes, who in turn may be from #1
IRL stuff, raid leaders or key players may not be able to play before reset
TZ differences.

A. in 48 hours you go through each tz 2x and if someone has rl stuff you know that sucks, but at least your not screwing anyone else

Some guilds do not GvG before reset because either they want to be fresh and hungry for reset push, or it’s just the case that GvG is open-ended in therms of time and although most of them take about a hour, many things can happen that would push it further, and no one wants to have busted GvG because of server restart.

A. When i said before reset I ment the 48 before at this point the winner is most likely already decided.

sorry but each of the GvG guilds most likely do a hell lot more for the matchup then your guild does when all is counted and instead of going to do some pve they do a gvg and they will normally not interupt your game play when they do plus it gives the a chance to fight agienst someone that also have a orginaced groupe and knows how to do open field combat

the only thing i can see agienst gvg is that they might take spots on a map that is needed but then try ask them to move map because you need to slots for defenders;)

and if there is no que then the are not takeing spots so if they gvg then they will proberly help when they done but if they had no place to have fun and do what they want they would most likely not play the game and then you lose them permanently instead of 2 hours a day(and thats very high sat)

why would you talk about GvG if you have never been in one and why would you talk about it as a global problem?

How about you only spread your stupid posts on the forums before reset, when the matchup is already decided? Doesnt it take alot of your time away from defending your ppt?

GvG where saddos train for a week to fight other saddos and waste valuable WvW spots in the process.

“People having fun! Ban them!” Is pretty much what I’m getting from this thread. While it would be cool to have a instance for it to make it easier to organize, I don’t see the problem with it in WvW. Yaro is most likely right about it killing off WvW Though. WvW would become random pug vs random pug if GvG was a new game mode.

They might as well start supporting GvG as a game mode. Until then I really think you should try reporting people because they’re doing GvG if you think it’s so wrong.
Also I’m wondering how the mods expect us to have a real discussion of this when the OP starts the flame war himself by calling GvG “kill trading”.

That is a fair point wryog my views about the kill trading aspect of it were formed when a friend of mine had organized some of the first "GvG"s with the new bag drop rates in mind and may or may not reflect upon the players today.

So lets talk about the “Game Modes” legitimacy for a sec.

Everyone on the “GvG” “leader boards” above rank 20 has a 100% loss ratio for NA and above 52 for EU.

With server mobility the way it is they couldn’t set up proper matches even if they wanted to.

And in the example of last weeks match up a pve guild was challenged to pvp and it was recorded upon their rankings. You guys should stick to Rpers though they will not allow their honor to be tarnished.

It seems more like a pyramid scheme to me. If your wondering what they get it’s ekitten.
