Yeah. It’s a bit of a kick in the gut. Last week my server was against two other servers right about on our same level; the match up was close all week, and playing was actually fun. This week, we’re against two servers waaaaay bigger than ours.

Same here we were against Underworld and Far Shiverpeaks last week wich was alot f fun, other then FSP beeing annoying as hell :P

We were pretty equal for the whole week, we just won but both the other servers were gaining up on us alot so we won with like 1k in points difference.

But now this matchup is just ridiculous…. and probably pretty boring to the other servers, roflstomping everyone in sight

Oh wow, EU is just as messed up this week as NA is.
This must be some kind of sociology experiment in real time.

Spoiler Alert: the 2 vastly weaker servers will NOT ever work together to take down the big one unless they’re bribed with achievements & T6 mats for it... (IE: hauling in all the dumb kittens from FG/Queens champtrains to bolster their numbers)

Yeah its indeed really stupid, but we will get ourselves through, hope the other 2 bigger servers arent bored

They thought it was a good idea, had really good intentions with it, but didn’t forsee this mess happening. Now there Bosses Boss is too bull headed to allow them to change it, because he is meeting his numbers, and getting his huge bonus check, from the gem store bandwagoners. If they give you a kitten load of money and said dont change a thing, would you change it?

I don’t think this decision is up to the little guy the lower devs do care no matter what other people say. 9 out of 10 times decisions such as this are based on inept executives calling the shots and ruining stuff. Just wait until the layoffs start coming to allow the executives to continue making their numbers, and cashing their fat bonus checks. The real world is a lot like WvW….

I sometimes think of buying gems, have in the past, and like to support NCsoft (I know Anet gets the money) … but you guys remind me why I should not… If they listened to us WvWers and responded with some decent answers… I would buy more gems…

There has to be some incentive to keep the losing servers to come in when the matches aren’t even.

Something like… Top 5/3/1%(Depending on position during the match up) of highest ranked WvW players for each server are guaranteed to drop a Champ loot bag, with some WvW exclusive skins. (Max 1 champ loot bag per player death every 3 min).

This would still be less than what Frostgorge/Queensdale champ trains put out.

But these champ loot bags have 33% chance to drop liquid WvW Exp.

I don’t know, maybe the new season rewards will bring more people in.

The forums were exploding about 6-8 months ago with demands for fresh matchups, especially players from low tiers. The devs won’t come out and say that because they are polite, and saying that would be an insult to their playerbase.

Instead, they’ll wisely let people forget, even out matchups after the league, and wait for the cycle to reset. In early 2015 the forums should be calling for RNG matchups again, full circle.

Well they keep screwing over their own game and i think at a certain point people get fed up with it……

And they are totally not living up to their own manifesto.

Do the dev’s even care about the players that are paying their wages?

Btw we upgraded our whole corner in EB this morning nice teameffort of the server then the french zerg came, they are green btw……took it in 3 minutes back.

Shame leagues don’t involve less servers or that they don’t try to parse them along population lines rather than arbitrary distributions.

You’ve got few options.

1. Fight back, recruit more to have the coverage to keep your side of the map.
2. Accept you can’t win. Don’t upgrade, don’t defend. Karma farm…..
3. Surrender….Transfer to the winning server.
4. Leave….Either go to PvE or another game, WvW isn’t going to be fixed soon.

Just be glad you’re not going to have to face them in the 7 week season. SbI and SoS are looking right now to be in NA gold league just so they can get stomped by JQ/SoR/BG/TC, just like GH is getting stomped by Viz

Little more than two more days of insufferable matchup… And games are meant to be fun.

I miss DAOC when Albs were zergy at least you could count on Hib and Mid ganging up. Just doesn’t happen here as this whole system is just goofy.
