This is what happens when you have servers populated enough to carry out organized 2v1s, in a format that allows you to plan roadmaps for this type of metagaming, in a tier that has always been ppt-driven. SoS, despite being weaker than the top 3 servers, can realistically place 2nd in this format. The other servers obviously want to avoid it, and the top 3 all want to come first. Hell, SoS could place first if the top 3 really go crazy about it.
There’s nothing wrong with what’s going on. It might not be tasteful to some, but it’s what’s always been intended in WvW. Politics for servers to further their own agendas.
First week – BG & TC team up against JQ
Last week – TC & JQ team up against BG
This week – BG & SOS alliance versus JQ.
“First week” Was the first week of seasons so just has a new fun feeling, JQ got 2v1’d because they were deemed the biggest threat.
“Last week” Was absolutely impressive. It was a grand show put on by TC and JQ. The organization of the 2v1 shows how awesome the WvW community can be. Also from BG’s perspective, it was amazing! So much fun.
“This week” It is what it is. There is no alliance. JQ is the only real threat. SoS won’t be able to take first so focusing JQ is the best move. SoS has been hitting BG a lot as well.
There has always been 2v1’s. It’s the way the game is set up but JQ and TC brought it to a new level. Either way, make the best of it. If we found fun last week, I’m sure you can find fun this week.

It’s a chess game right now. This isnt just about whacking someone with the pointy end of your stick I’d wager….As a chess player, I can appreciate that…
After simultaneous attacks from 2 zergs, BG will then camp at JQ spawn spot for hours while allowing SOS to capped garrison and smc in EB.
Wldnt this kind of “team-up” play has much implications to the thousand of wvw players in tier 1 and tier 2? Im worried.
Nah, this “kind of team-up” is nothing new. It’s to hard to take that keep with the green server being able to respawn and suicide into the lords room. One server pushing green spawn makes it easier for the 3rd server to take the keep.
Honestly, this was going to happen to one of the servers.
If you get 2v1’d this week, JQ, plz don’t pull a BG.

BG have promised them a seat at the table and SoS has obliged. BG however won’t admit to it, at least not on the forums, they’re keep their cards close to their chest.
In any event you won’t see the kind of nerd rage you saw last week.

Like you said no alliances!! This will be the purest revenge from now on! JQ simply can’t push against BG cause they now have to focus against 2 worlds….they have no TC’s around now to help them…poor them!

It’s exactly what happened to BG last week against TC and JQ, so meh, deal with it.
Honestly, JQ has the numbers to take 2nd spot this week regardless of how much BG focuses JQ. SoS isn’t a T1 server. It doesn’t have T1 coverage like TC. Too bad JQ has decided to hide in EoTM

I can tell you that this is in fact not a 2 v 1 week. SoS was told that we would not mess with them if they just stayed on their side of the map or we would not destroy them. This week JQ you are ours, SoS can have the left overs. That BS you did last week by using TC as your lap dog, that’s a 2 v 1. JQ last week you bought the ticket, we are just giving you the ride.
