the problem with 1v1 is that the stronger server is pretty much guaranteed the win.

in a 3-way match it’s possible for the 2 weaker servers to gang up on the stronger one which can make things more fun.

but opportunists can use the same system to gang up on the weaker server in a race to see who can get more PPT. if the second place server needs more PPT to catch up to the first place server, last place is often the easiest place to get it. this means the first place server needs to grab PPT from last place also, to keep second place from getting all of it.

the fact that karma training is highly rewarded while defense is not further encourages this — karma trains will naturally look for the easiest objectives to flip, and those are usually the ones owned by the last-place team.

In your case, the weaker server can just get picked on for points, karma, etc.

In my opinion, there needs to be a system that reduces rewards for picking on a server getting blown away and dramatically increases rewards for ganging up on the winning server.

For example, perhaps an outnumbered player doesn’t drop WXP, and taking their points awards 20% of the regular rewards, or something dramatic that discourages karma training their points, while attacking the lead server rewards 100% more rewards for players/points, or something like that.

Because it’s a 3 team game. So it’s either 1v1v1, or 2v1 somewhere.

It’s not hard to understand why if say team1 is attacking team2’s keep, that team3 could probably easily take one of team2’s towers while they are dealing with the mess at their keep.

If you need to change something, it’s that they need to remove second place. If you ain’t first, you’re last! Doing this would make it so you wanted to score points, and ideally take away from the 1st place team, not fight it out for second with the other weaker team.

2v1 is a built in design decision when you do RvR style pvp.

If it was 1v1, then what is the other faction doing? Watching a movie and eating popcorn until you two are done, and they can join in and another server goes to watch a movie?

seriously, quit crying and fight. We’ve all been tag teamed every week. Hell, SoR is 2v1’d every week now, and it isn’t even intentional by the other servers.

Gate of Madness (currently first place for bronze league) WILL be 1v2 against Devona’s Rest and sorrow’s furnace IF we are matched up against them….. which will be interesting.. hence suck it up and be ready to rally and fight!

DR likes to run mega zerg, and when they do, (tunnel visioned) they focus on one thing and one thing only; trying to flip something or look for unnecessary with pugs, making them think we cant fight HA!!… ultimately letting their fortified keeps/ towers fall, also switching maps with there mega-zerg, how to counter? easy push when they are not on specific maps, recap for ppt on the maps they go.

AND

SF, well, they are EVERYWHERE they will go for multiple things, BUT they don’t stay in one spot they’ll move to what is easier and give up when backed to a corner, how to counter? scouts, defenders, push when unexpected, watch their prime time, && make use of their down time.

G.O.M. is full of dedicated players like everywhere else BUT we are home of very smart commanders that easily counter team comps, mega-zergs, split-zergs, havoks, condi-meta, ect.
