Would you move or consider moving your guild from a higher tier server to a lower one if you received a certain amount of gems and your guild still had all of its unlocks…guild missions etc?

I like having the coverage that my server enjoys.

Only reason I would move would be if my guild moves and most enjoy that coverage also.

I speak for my self and no one else. Only fools believe they speak for a majority.

I am on a middle-tier server with a community that I like. I would not encourage our guild to move, even if enticed with gems, etc.

now, if our whole server was considering moving to the same destination (or at least the WvW guilds on our server) then I would of course consider moving our guild to stay with them.

I am just thinking that everyone in higher tiers keeps complaining about the lag but lower tiers seems to not have as prevalent of a lag issue. A guild which is suffering from this and doesn’t care about tiers just enjoyment of wvw might look to move and spread the wvw population more if there weren’t such difficulties in dropping tiers. Maybe incentives could entice the stacked servers to spread out more.

That would only work with NA guilds. OC SEA and EU guilds are limited on what servers they go to if they want people to fight. Main reason for these time zones to come to Tier 1 servers is because they will have better coverage this more people to fight.

With EU they have a full grouping of servers so I don’t feel like that is valid. With the OC and SEA I thought Anet was about to open a new grouping of servers for those markets? Either way at those times are there that many people to cause the lag? If there are then if enough moved even 1 tier down it would help a lower tier and balance the servers still.

Yes.

At our prime, a fully upgraded guild took 2.5-3 weeks, and the WvW bonuses aren’t that great to miss so it wasn’t an issue for us. Also, the disillusion of server loyalty didn’t play on us as much as it does other people, we wanted to fight, we went where they were equal numbers, equally skilled people to fight.

All in all, we did & moved to do what we think is best for our guild.

Since I’m on Fergs, my only option would be to move to ET as it’s the only other server with a lower population.

ANet needs to wipe out the bottom tier and just merge the servers. ET, FC, and AR all have no population, no coverage, and are bleeding players daily. And how can you blame the players for leaving?

Odd, my post didn’t show up…

But at this point ANet needs to give up with enticing players to move to lower population servers and just wipe out the entire bottom bracket and merge those servers with different ones.

ET, FC, and AR are probably the 3 lowest population servers. Each are bleeding players every day to higher population ones because ANet keeps pairing these servers up against others with 2, 3, or 4 times the population. I’m confident that if any of these 3 servers had real coverage for the midnight to 8am timeframe they’d have no problem rising through the ranks. But when you’re outmanned at even your prime time? Come on…. something needs to be done.

we dont really mind being outmanned at prime because when we field around 30 we usually wipe anything they throw at us.. but yeah I wish we had some overnight/morning coverage.
