Try a hardware monitor like hwinfo and check if the games uses all cores. Alt Tab from game open task manager right click the game and set the priority of the game to high. Hope it helps…

I have the exact same problem and i am using the newest drivers from nvidia. I dont think its related.

just checked and i can confirm that game uses all cores. all of them at 40-50%. But the problem is at some areas like heart of the mist there is strange mouse lag even if the game runs at30-40 fps. other pve areas feel more smooth with that fps.

Exactly. It seems game doesnt push the hardware and we all wonder why it runs like crap..

Hi, i have a phenom II 940 Cpu OC’ed to 3.5 ghz. Checked the CPU usage with Hwinfo and it seems game uses %50 %40 of the cpu at most. Since it is a cpu intensive game ( is it ? ) is there a way to increase the cpu usage?
Already tried setting the power profile to high performance and changed the priority of gw2 to high at task manager.

Can you give a link for this “quick fix” ? Is it fot ATI GPU’s or AMD CPU’s. It seems game only uses 50 percent of my phenom II :S

I know it sounds weird but the games performance changes with a restart (both client and pc side) the exact opposite happened to me a few days ago. Games performance got better ( 15ish fps to 40 in one night) without touching any settings.
