Guild Wars 2

If there were a category between casual and semi-hardcore I’d be in that, haha. I don’t take GW2 too seriously and like to have a good time, but I do want my dungeons/fractal groups to be competent, and I don’t want a guild that’s a ghost town.

I have TS3 and ventrilo and my time zone is EST. I mostly PvE (dungeons, world bosses, fractals, SW) but have begun to PvP a bit and have some history of WvW, though it’s been boring to me lately.

So here’s some more info on what I’m looking for:

• Large guild — I like for a lot of people to be online regularly, largely because I like an active community but also because it makes finding people for dungeons easier. That being said…
• Regular Dungeon/Fractal runs — I’m really trying to get better at both of these, but waiting around for pugs takes the enjoyment and efficiency out of this. I’d love a group of guildies I can run through 3-5 dungeons/fractals a night with.
• Regular Guild Missions — Yeah this is kind of a given. I’m trying to outfit some of my alts and I need those commendations.

To a lesser extent, I would also like these. They aren’t deal breakers, though:

• WvW — I do enjoy raiding, but FA is kind of struggling in WvW atm so who knows how the scene will change in the coming months. I enjoy EotM, too.
• Folks to PvP with? — I can also solo queue, so like I said, no biggie here.
• 18+ — or at least, allow me to cuss. I swear like a sailor but I’m good fun, I promise.

Any guilds fit the bill? :0

Hellooooo, I’m Aarev.

I’m an artist interested in offering GW2 commissions.
I’ve set the prices based on what I’ve seen other people charge, as well as what the basic exchange between gold/gems/real money is (100g is approx. 1,111gems or $13.89), and finally based on how high demand is vs. how much time I have.

These pictures take me quite a while to do, so they have to be worthwhile for me, too.

Anyway, here are my examples! As I haven’t done any GW2 commissions yet, I only have a handful of GW2-specific examples of my characters. My other examples come from fantasy novels and games like Skyrim, however, so I think they’ll fit in.

Slots

Buying Process:

1. PM me here (mailing me in game as well doesn’t hurt either) and let me know what kind of art you want. Send me the refs of your character—the more angles the better, and even lighting please. Don’t forget weapons.
2. If you have any specific requests, include them at this time. Pose, theme, number of characters, etc.
3. After we discuss the commission I’ll get started with a rough draft and email it to you. If you are satisfied with the sketch, you send me the first half of the payment. Then I’ll continue, and keep you updated.
4. When I send you the final version with a watermark and you are satisfied with it, you’ll send the remaining money and I’ll send you the unmarked, high-res version.

I’ve not been able to play GW2 a single time since getting it, I’ve never been able to launch the game except for once for 2 minutes before it crashed.

“The game is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network…”

I’ve tried all the fixes I could find, including making a shortcut and changing the Target line.

The game is totally patched up as of yesterday, there is no firewall issue, I am not using a campus network, etc. I’ve restarted the computer, that does nothing.

Once I was actually able to sign on, but it kicked me before I could even choose a server to get started on. This is getting to the point where I regret even buying this game.

What exactly did you do? I’ve been having this issue for two days now. I’ve tried everything the Anet support has suggested but not a single thing worked.

I actually haven’t been able to play once.
