I mean this is a fantasy role playing game but I didn’t know the make believe started with game features.

This is honestly one of the best quotes I’ve ever seen. I’ve played GW2 since launch and GW1 for half a dozen years before that, and always bought every campaign/expansion. Compared to the 3 stand-alone games from GW1, HoT is pretty pathetic. Granted, that’s not a fair comparison as HoT is an expansion, but those stand-alone games were released within MONTHS of work, not years. A fairer comparison would certainly be the Eye of the North expansion, which still included many different explorable areas and quite a wealth of new playable content.

To sum this up, as a loyal player for almost 10 years of Guild Wars now, I am so incredibly disappointed in the direction this game is going. It has become so much about the money now (frequent gem store additions being a prime example) that our game is suffering. I don’t care if you’re a WvW player looking to finally see another player in the borderlands, a PvPer in need of actual profession balancing, or a PvEer wanting more than three and a half explorable areas or some new legendary weapons to go after. Your content is suffering. IF I purchase the next expansion, it will only be when I see the content Anet has promised ACTUALLY IN THE GAME, not just empty promises.

Crashing, lagging for 5+ seconds quite regularly, even deciding to make everything various extremely bright colors based on which direction my camera faces from time to time. This has gotten to the point that I can’t do anything worthwhile in game anymore. I hope this is fixed soon.

I agree with you there! I had my gifts of mastery and fortune all ready to go, and now it seems like all that was wasted.

Birthday present suggestion

We all know that in GW1, we got minis as a reward for each year our characters were in existence. These were some nice novelties, and fairly well noticed. Just about everyone had their favorite mini in their inventory all the time. In GW2, minis are far less visible and not nearly as valued. I suggest departing from the mini approach to something more meaningful to the player base.

A huge number of players have been extremely frustrated by the amount of RNG in the game right now, especially in relation to the unique weapon skins with each event. I know thousands of players that are either quitting the game entirely or at least refusing to spend a single extra dime in their anger.

I propose that each account (each character might be a bit too much), upon reaching its first birthday, receives a universal weapon ticket. We could use this ticket for any of the released RNG weapons thus far. This would solve the birthday present question as well as bring back many alienated players.

What do you guys think?

Still not sure on this. I know I won’t spend real money, but I’m on the fence over doing some key runs. Does anyone know how long we have to get the skins before they’re no longer in the chest?
