Incoming rant ahead
The other night while I was duoing Arah p2 on stream, the NPC scholar yissa was autoattacking from a distance near a wall and Lupicus kept shadowstepping to her, bugging out and going invisible. During this process he always stays bugged for a few seconds and can do attacks while his character model is absent.
Of course, this won’t ever get fixed nor will any of his other attacks that aren’t working properly like bubble and the rapid fire frenzied blast in phase 3 etc.
If we’re gonna talk about other bugs there’s the AOE red circles on his Necrid Barrage not representing the hitboxes accurately, there’s the fact that he can move his Necrid Trap to anywhere (within range) around him regardless of the angle of which he casts it, there’s the evade frames on his shadow step being completely random, sometimes he’ll evade, sometimes he won’t, also the broken hitboxes on the shadow step; Lupine Blast can hit you at any angle (similar to Necrid Trap, though the animation only goes directly in front of him) within the range.
There’s the strange way that his hitbox works while shadowstepping; during the entire cast animation his hitbox will be at the start area of the cast and then shift at the end of the cast (not sure if this is actually a bug or just a weird use of the shadowstep mechanic to cut out having to wire it differently).
Necrid Barrage also hits instantly in melee range, though I’m sure this isn’t a bug, just to do with hitboxes; the Barrage projectiles form while they’re low enough to hit player hitbox meaning you can get one shot by projectiles that are meant to go to the far end of the arena if you mess up a dodge.
There’s the WoR one shot, also not a bug but something that absolutely needs fixing.
Uhh. Locust Swarms spawning inside/behind the wall and becoming invulnerable/not being able to attack players. Necrid Bolt doesn’t always explode immediately upon contact with the ground, sometimes it passes through terrain which delays the explosion briefly which can cause you to get hit after evading while if this didn’t happen you would’ve evaded both hits. It also requires a huge gap between you and the projectile to sidestep it, otherwise it seems to explode on top of you regardless of where the projectile lands, though that might just be a latency/performance issue on my end.
Something else that isn’t a bug is his aggro. If you have a guardian or ele in your party, regardless of who’s doing what, he will almost always aggro to them, especially in phase 2 and 3. I can imagine this is extremely frustrating for newer players as both classes are rather squishy and not knowing how to properly conserve your stamina/skills can cause you to down instantly for a reason that’s just plain frustrating.
