Guild Wars 2

I have an account “main” as a level 80 warrior worked thru the Living story up to Season 2 Episode 7. That should unlock all of the Bandit crest items to finish the Luminescent Boot, Glove, Shoulder, and Leggings collection. The Silver Wastes vendors tell me to go pound sand.

Two ways to get Ascended items for collections….
Beat all of the hard-mode achievements for all of the chapter content.
Spend 1000 crests and 10g to buy the missing items for each chapter.

The vendor only shows me the Chapter *8 item
Caithe’s Blossom = Missing
Plague Signet = Missing
Wynne’s Locket = Missing

The only one visible is Verata’s Signet ring. I’m 7/8 done with the gloves. 6/8 done with the Shoulder. 4/8 done with the Boots. And 2/8 done with the Legs. What’s broken with this vendor that other people can see rewards if they haven’t beaten ALL of the hardmode challenges? If you beat all possible challenges, why BUY IT??

I’ve re-done the living story on an Elementalist I’ve leveled to 80 just to fix this. It was awful. Solo, they are great dps but so very fragile. Story mode done thru pain and struggle. Still no Bandit Crest Vendor Unlock. Should I finish the Entire living story on multiple characters? I’ve started playing in August of this year. I don’t have a lot of GW2 experience.

Do I need to BUY Gates of Maguma and unlock that too? Just so the vendor works right for Episode 5-7? Help. Sitting on 3500 bandit crests. No way to advance.
