So, I had expected the resonating fragments to be fixed in the Tuesday patch. I mean, how hard is it to add a recipe in the refinement category to turn resonating slivers into fragments? Instead, the fragments were removed from a chunk of the recipes that were largely inhibiting scribe progress. This is alright in the short term, but there are still recipes that take resonating fragments with no way to acquire them beyond the extremely low chance to get a fragment instead of a sliver in guild missions. The Guild Initiative Banner (a 125 recipe) takes 25 fragments still, and I assume there are still others at higher levels.
If it is intended for resonating fragments to only be acquired through rare droppings, then please change the tooltip on the fragments that says scribes make them from slivers.
Additionally, there are still several recipes which take “Bags of Mortar”, that say they are purchased from the master scribe, yet are still missing from his buying list. The large square pillar, armor stand, ceramic planter, and worn pillar recipes all require these bags of mortar. Consequently, higher level decorations that require the aforementioned decorations to upgrade into a better version are also blocked from being made.
I guess I’m not sure exactly where to post this, but I’ve noticed several things brokenly missing from the scribing crafting profession.
-Several recipes list a “Bag of Mortar” item that says in its description that it is purchased from the master scribe, however, he has no such item.
-At level 75 scribing, the “bags of shimmering blotting powder” take “Resonating Fragments”, which say in their description they are crafted from resonating slivers by scribes. However, there is no recipe built in to do so, nor can I attempt to use resonating slivers to discover a recipe for it, they aren’t even in the materials list in the discovery panel. I’m at 100 scribing and if you say I need to get to 125+ to make resonating fragments, which are used in some lvl 75 recipes, that is really messed up.
-A similar thing is at level 50 scribe, you get a recipe for a ceramic planter, which you can’t possibly make at that level because it takes a “basic finishing kit”, which is unlocked at level 75 scribe. (ceramic planter can doubly not be made because it takes the bags of mortar that you cannot acquire, which I mentioned earlier). If that kind of thing is intended, where you get recipes at scribe levels that you then cannot make till higher levels, it seems needlessly obtuse, but fine at least I know it’s not an oversight.
