Peacemaker’s Longbow has clipping issues with the Twilight Arbor chest piece (Nightmare Breastplate) and also with the Ascended Quiver back piece. Shortbows have the same issues, both with the chest and the quiver; however it is more apparent with the larger skin of the Peacemaker’s.
The quiver back piece also does not show in the Hero nor is there a “Preview” available if you right click it in the inventory.
It seems I have the same problem with Down the Hatch (the following mission) Second Mate Khebril is also bald in the cut scene!
It should be noted, that my own character is not bald in any of the cut scenes I’ve done so far.

The cut scene is queued during the first Order of Whispers mission in Applenook Hamlet. The particular cut scene is after you speak to all of the ministry guards in the tavern, both the male and female guards were without helmets, and hair during the cut scene.

Yea, I’ve never encountered a game crash that was resolved by bypassing the router. It makes no sense at all, but if it works. I can enjoy my PvP for the few days before the family gets back from vacation!
Hey guys – I’m not entirely sure why connecting directly to the modem has resolved the issue for some players, but if you’re still getting the black screen issue I am curious if anyone could test this so I can see how many other players are able to resolve this issue in this fashion.
Connecting directly to the modem fixed my black screen issue. No freakin clue why.
Browsing through the support forums I saw this thread and tried running my PC directly to the modem. And the black screens stopped. Really not sure how my modem is causing the game to black screen since retail and not during beta.
I’ve been having black screens and on a whim tried running my PC directly to the modem and I just finished my fifth sPvP match without a black screen. Before I got about 2 minutes in before I would black screen.
It makes absolutely no sense, but it does work. And it should be noted I also have a DIR-601.

Just tried 12.8 CAP 1 release for GW2 and Black Screened out of a sPvP match in less than 2 minutes. DxDiag attached.

Since the game went retail I’ve been getting random black screen crashes. Sound is still present, and I can see the mouse and open the Options menu. I’ve tried several of the fixes on various forums and the ones given in the CS ticket I’ve had open since August 27th to no avail. The black screens are completely random in PvE taking anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to non-existent. In PvP and WvW however they’re much more common, rarely being able to finish a match in PvP and black screening within 5 minutes to an hour in WvW.
I’ve tried the Sub/Supersampling fixes from the early beta. The LOD fix from mid beta. Triple Buffering/VSync/Frame Limiter as suggested by CS. And I’ve ensured that AA is application specified. I’ve done driver wipes and tried 12.6 (What I used in beta), 12.7 Beta, 12.8 and the problem is persistent.
Attached is an example of what I can see when I black screen.
Windows 7 x64
AMD Phenom II X4 945
4GB RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD 5770
Catalyst Version 12.8
Corsair Force 3 SSD 120GB (System/GW2)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
