In terms of WvW i won’t talk. But you are asking for 1v1 especially. Conditionmancer aren’t that bad, i personally think they are really good, with your traits just need to switch up some major traits and transform it to a terror build+100% fear duration. You are going to tick for 1.3k per fear tick, with 100% fear duration (fear and/or condition duration) you are going to tick twice, is a really high dmg and good sinergy with your condition damage.
There is no OP build for Necromancer. Educate yourselves people. Any other class going full glass cannon does more than a Necromancer.
Don’t think so, glass cannon power-necro is so powerfull, and like another clases on their glass cannon don’t contribute with group member. It’s underrated.
I’m able to hit over 5k on #1 DS spam and over 10-12k crit with #2 axe. Those numbers don’t go so far from another glass cannon builds.
2 sec based daze is really great. A warhorn is a must have on a glass cannon well-bombing necro, to interrupt any healing.
I think warhorn utilities is more usefull in PVP. The cripple from the locaust swarn let you to get close to enemies, if you are running dagger or run away from a melee if you are playing a ranged build. And don’t forget the vital force gained with this skill.
We haven’t got a shield or blocking habilities, is like our “defensive” offhand.
Yes, go to Nemesis channel and look at the guides, he has 4 guides of the main builts for a Necromancer: power glass cannon, conditionmancer, hybrid build, and a little guide for MM, but waiting for a better one.
The error that made minions to no attack i think is almost fixed, i say almost because it still, but my minions always attack if i click skill “1”, if i’m using anotherone some minions just not attack, but click skill 1 fix it. I’m running a zerker MM and is awasome, very powerfull and high survival in a glass cannon gear. I just tried in pve, i must try in sPVP.
well, if we want to have constructive criticism, we should start with realistic numbers.
you don’t get 90% of games vs premades. my personal experience has been about 50%, maybe a little less. the core issue is that even 1 loss to a premade team is seen as an unfair fight, and anet is to blame for it. how can a pug ever hope to compete with a premade? why should they?
For me, it is 90% vs premade
You want a constructive thread. But you are not contributing to it with this kind of answers…
On my expirience, was around 30-50% vs premades., and going down.
About a 4vs5, i think they still working on it.
Hello, i’m here again, now to ask about a build for a power necro. I’m running a glass cannon build (Nemesis’s build) traited on 30/0/0/10/30. This build is really good because you can hit from ranged places so it safer for a glass cannon, but i’m wondering about use a dagger based build which still have more damage, but i think there is too much risk to be in a melee with a glass cannon light armor user. I’m thinking in a 10/30/0/30/0 for perma weakness and wells siphoning or 0/30/0/20/20 to increase crit dmg. But not sure about the gear i would use.
Thanks.
Edit. Forgto to say that’s is for pve.
Well, i’m wondering about which tratis to use for a minionmaster. I use 2 options:
20/0/30/20/0 or 20/0/20/30/0. The difference is the trait which do a poison cloud when minion die vs minion draw conditions. What do you think is better to use generally? I can switch deppens of the instance i going to do, but in FOTM for example, you can’t know which one is going to be more usefull.
I’m not using condition dmg, so poison cloud don’t do much, but on this way a dead minion can still doing some dmg. By other hand i usually use the blood fiend as heal and staff/axe+focus, so i only have #4 staff to clean conditions. I can switch this heal for consume corruption, but on this way i’m loosing a minion, his dmg (not much but still smth) and his continue heal. That’s why i wonder if is better option to use 20/0/20/30/0 because poison cloud is not doing dmg enough to loose an auto-condition removal.
A second question. Do you think is ok using a zerker gear? With a minion build your minions do a lot of agro and they are healing you all time, so it’s easy to stay alive, but i’m not sure if the output damage is enough for this risk. Or is better to still using P/V/T gear?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
Almost 15 mins of tanking and running of 6 or more enemies
And here another one where he is fighting around 8 enemies and kill some.
You can check more info in this forums, this player have a thread talking about his build and playstyle. I’m sure he can be a really good player, but i don’t think anybody is able to do something similar with my necro.
What I asked was if their attacks were actually hitting. They mostly weren’t. That’s important because avoiding attacks is more so player skill than build (although ele’s higher mobility certainly helps).
Nobody can just stay being hit for 10 mins -.-", not in this game lol. But when you have professions who can do things similars to the video…. i guess there is something wrong.
An ele is killable and i don’t think is really OP, but there are classes that need to improve. Necros, engineers and rangers are a bit low comparated with other classes. Eles and thieves needs a nerf? not really, but other professions need a buff or new mechanics.

I saw Eles tanking 5 or 6 for over 10 minutes. The ele player can be really good player but i don’t think that the others 6 enemies were the worst players ever….
Anyway i’m not here to say how OP is ele. I have to agree with op about something.
You just need to log in and look around to see that there is a 40% eles, 15% guardians, 15% warriors, 10%mesmer, 19.9999999999% thiefs and 0.0000000001% necros and engieneers.
I do 1 or 2 instance each day always with random players, i don’t remember last time i did group with an engieneer, seriusly i can’t… maybe 1 or 2 months.
Here there is a problem when you have those numbers, i’m not talking about OP or UP professions, but ANet must do something to do the other classes more atractive.
I don’t understand what are is the op talking about. What’s your trouble? Wells do too much dmg to stay in or necros kill you from the windows?
I had read the thread and i think you are talking about a ranged class hitting you from the windows, so is not only necros, shortbow thief, ranger,… You haven’t got trouble with them hitting you from the window?
¿?
I can understand the troubles with mesmers, their burst are really hard and is difficult to stack bleeds fast enough to do dmg, anyway mesmer just have 2 utility skills to clean conditions (i think) nobody use both at the same time.
By other hand i can’t understand your troubles with guardians, thiefs and rangers. Guardians have some condition removal, but like the mesmer they are using 1 o 2 at same time, and have 40s+ CD, not that hard to stack bleeding, and they have really low HP, so you don’t need to stack 20 bleeds.
About thief, burst thief are hard to avoid, but with full life force are easy to beat, they usually only use 1 condition removal, their heal, 30s CD. And like the guardian they have low HP. Against condition thief, just let them to stack bleeding on you, and then use 4 staff, 4 dagger or plague signet to stack 20+bleeding on him and wait.
Rangers?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿ dunno what to say about them.
Ele is just stupid to fight. They are awasome cleaning conditions, nothing to do here.
Each player have his own role. Everyone support the team with something.
Ex:
Guardian all kind of boons and regeneration.
Elem powerfull area healings.
Necromancer weakness and posions.
Thief blinds and stealths.
Those are some habilities of some classes. You don’t need healer or tanks, you need skill and teamplay.
Hello, i’m playing a condition necro. I have some question for the necromancer’s comunity. I’m playing a full “rabid” set for pve (condition dmg+precision+thoug), and 30/30/10/0/0 on traits. As you know when wintersday cames, ANet gave us a new stats for weapons (condition duration+vit+precision).
I’m here to ask you what is better, condition duration or condition damage. Another question is: what do you think is better if i play rabid set, 30/30/10/0/0 or 0/30/30/0/0 using afflicted runes? on this way i will have a lot of condition damage, but less condition duration.
Should will i go back to carrion set? or is better rabid set for conditionmance on pve? For utility skills i use corruption+blood is power, but not sure what to use as third utility skill, poisoning cloud don’t a real damage.
Thanks
I’m playing condition-mancer since GW2 start. I really like how it works, but now i’m having some troubles in WvW. The server who we are fighting right now usually play with big zergs (40-60 ppl). I’m feeling quite useless on this way, because against those zergs always there are some support-condition removal and my condition are not active the time enough to do a big damage.
I’m thinking in going to power-mancer. What do you think about that?
Could you maybe link those builds for a lost MM necro? I´m currently levling in my 40´s and loving MM so far, but i would love to know whats best to go for as far as a end game PvE MM build and how it would look like. Cheers!
