I would like an invite!
I agree.
When new content comes out a lot of players like to tackle that content. As it is, you have players sitting around for over an hour, just waiting. Not much fun.
People were messing up the Scarlet attacks at first, too.
Give it some time.
Same here.
No lag at all.
They have done this for every update.
While you may not have any questions or discussion topics regarding this content, many others very well could.
Tribulation Mode no longer deserves its name

I think it’s fine as is.
Sup?
My Internet had a hickup for under 5 seconds on the final boss fight of World 2 Zone 3… and that’s that.
I spent an eternity on this, and I’m finally finishing up this challenge… and now I’m sitting in the hub like a dumb kitten .
My internet is usually very stable. I feel sorry for anyone with a sketchy connection, because this content is literally unavailable to you.
Nice design, ANet.
Nice design.
Is it too hard? Respect the awesome work

I missed out on SAB the first time, so I came in with no pre-built love for it. I was excited for it based on all of the hype around the game, but nothing more.
I completed all of the achievements for World 1 this morning, and it was pretty fun.
I started World 2 this evening and completed Zone 1 on my first run through. It was quite a bit harder than anything the first World had to offer, but nothing anybody who has done some of the difficult jumping puzzles can’t complete.
And then I got to Zone 2. The SAB went from a fun, semi-challenging throwback to the oldschool, to a complete wreck. Instant kill mechanic after instant kill mechanic combined with a length that is far too long for anybody with any sort of adult responsibilities.
If the Zone 2 challenge was left as is, I would cut the length of it by over half. Length is fine if the content is like strolling through the park (W1 Z1)… but not this.
So, in closing, I guess the biggest thing I have to say doesn’t seem right, is the length. I failed at the multiple floating island portals, and I simply won’t attempt it again. I can’t spare another 2+ hours just to give it a shot. Disappointing.
I love this video game.
The minute I hit level 80, I instantly bought full exotics and was completely geared.
Literally, within 10 minutes…
Luckily for me, I’m an adult and can set goals for myself, so I still had plenty of things I wanted to accomplish. None of them centered around bettering my character, they were things I simply did for fun.
I’m looking forward to some new goals being introduced that are based around bettering my character, even if slightly.
It’s funny, though… people complain about a lack of progression, a lack of things to do at 80, etc… then they introduce a new tier of item and everyone complains about that.
You can’t make everyone happy, and this seems especially true in Guild Wars 2.
Except for me. I’m happy.

This difficulty simply isn’t in line with… anything else in the game.
Yes we want difficult content in the game, but a little two week mini event that is harder than all top “end game” content? From the impossible task of getting gold, to people avoiding groups at all costs, it just feels broken, not difficult.
And again, people think differently and are on both sides of this, which is good! It makes for an interesting topic. That being said, I don’t see how a developer isn’t chiming in on this, or any posts on the topic. Not to make it easier or harder, just to join in on the conversation and give some insight / input as to what they are / were thinking and where they plan to go from here related to difficult content.
You say there’s so many threads because of casuals (taking a dig at them), but then you say it’s not required for meta… which is all casuals would go for.
If people want to complete every single thing, they’re probably not casuals.
Regardless, there is a large amount of interest in this topic currently, and I think it would be interesting to have some input from someone on the inside. We have not had content quite like this before.
Every fifth thread created on this living world forum is about the Candidate Trials and its difficulty. One thread, at this point, has 250 responses and over 11,500 views.
Some of the posts are general complaints, but many offer good feedback which seems to be ignored.
This has (had?) the capability of being very fun content. The idea of setting up a defense in the middle with a couple of your best buddies knocking down wave after wave of plundering baddies sounds great. Unfortunately, even pre-patch, this isn’t how it was handled. We sat near the spawn points, solo, waiting to pick off a mob as it spawns.
So my questions to the development team:
Are the Candidate Trials currently working the way you envisioned it?
Nobody dares group up for this content. Was this planned?
Are any changes planned?
Agreed. Way too hard for the reward at hand.
Without actually seeing the results as they happen, they can make them whatever they want.
There is no way Kiel has more support.
To me, things are only a grind if they’re not fun.
This is why I didn’t consider map completion a grind, nor most of these mini games. I actually enjoy them. I’m simply completing it as I’m enjoying myself while playing.
Anybody who has a hard time dodging headshot should probably be playing another video game title. ^_________________________^
Worst thing is it’s not even worth many achievement points.
Some decent money to be earned, though.
