Basically, was fighting in Temple of the Silent Storm as an unranked match and got a another match pop mid match. Accepted the request and got Battle of Kyhlo like nothing had happened. Feel bad for the team I left but I had no idea it would happen.

And for those who will listen, if you use a personal bank or guild bank make sure that the permissions for inactive accounts are updated to not be able to withdraw. As a personal victim, inactive accounts can still be hacked through emails and take anything that the permissions allow. This is especially the case in guild banks that have somewhat valuable items in them. In addition Anet employees cannot restore these items so its better to be safe than sorry.

A little pro tip for Liadri on Guardian
You can do it on a really defensive guardian by using the gs #5 skill to mass collect the shards to throw at her. Do the fight normally for two stacks, then she will have 1 stack remaining until she breaks and starts to chase. So before you do that, get 3-4 Visions and make Binding Blade land on them. As they get in range of a white circle, activate the pull to get 3-4 free crystals. If you also spam them on Liadri immediately after, you can get all 4 off before the aoes start to fall again due to the phase switch. That way you will only need at most 3 more crystals on phase 2. Not faceroll, but definitely a good trick to use.

Last test with the drake is broken again. My guild couldn’t get the drake to light a single fire. After a few resets, she also became completely unresponsive. QQ halp!

So for those of us who haven’t got it yet, is there a recommendation for a server to guest to? I’ve been trying Blackgate and Jade Quarry for two days now with no results and am beyond frustrated.

Somehow, at 12:50 pm central time, our entire Henge of Denravi force in EB got ported back to spawn. Everyone dead or alive ended up at spawn no matter what you were doing. I’m confused…. Anyone heard of or got some info on it?

Before I get reported for hacking, its because whoever used a knockback on me while i was running up the staircase. You pushed me in I swear! Only way I could get out was to scepter 2 skill through the wall.

Just gonna toss this in here, I think it would be nice if Torch 5 Skill removed conditions on the guardian as well as friendly targets that we are breathing on.

I didn’t really read the other posts (T.T) but I’m just gonna throw my 2 cents in here. Most people are overreacting, but I feel like they do have a point. Feel free to correct me (like you wouldn’t….) but the main complaint I see alot is the PoV fix and the Purging Flames consecration. For the Pure of Voice fix, we all got used to shouts removing two conditions basically. The bug lasted for quite a while and we rejoiced that it was left for so long. Now that its gone many don’t like have to use utility skills to remove 1 condition. The reason for this is that we are in a heavy condition meta which preeeettyyy much makes it mandatory to have strong condition removal in most builds to be effective against most builds 1v1 and small man. The second is also a personal complaint in that the purging flames consecration only gains its most effectiveness if you and your party members stand close together and STAY close together to benefit from its condition duration reduction buff. As you can guess, it would be a bad idea to stay stacked (obvious reason is aoe condi bomb which defeats the whole purpose of the skill).
So to be max condition removal you would have to run Focus Weapon and HOPE it comes back to you, have 20 points dedicated to your 5th traitline (name escapes me atm) and run the Contemplation of Purity Meditation. Another route includes running soldier runes to have shouts remove two conditions again but it also means running 30 points in the 4th traitline.
So to look at it with the said suggestions, you only have 20 trait points to your role (be it dps or support) which makes you miss out on alot of useful traits. You also lose 2 (or 3) utilities dedicating them to condition removal leaving only your weapon skills to deal damage for DPS roles. Support roles suffer from the fact that they require party members to stay within close range to benefit from the extremely small range skills AND most of the condition removal only works for yourself (the Virtue Cleanse and Focus condition removal) excluding shout builds. The cooldowns are extremely long (contemplation of purity being a minute , purging flames being 30+ seconds, and virtue cleanse you lose your passive heal now only having regen buff {unless traited}). You don’t have pretty much any build options in terms of traitlines.
So in short, Yes. We are mega qqing hard and overreacting. BUT, there is a perfectly valid reason for this qq.

This is not a serious build but I would suggest looking at a Spirit Weapon Build. Heh, just hear me out. Running a 30 30 0 0 10 build-Spirit Weapon traits and burning removes boons+spirit weapons apply burning. That last 10 points in the precision line isn’t mandatory but its kinda good to get 1 handed crit chance one. The armor and weapons are zerker Greatsword/Hammer and Mace/Sword Focus (the /‘s are alternatives). Now keep in mind this build is really squishy but heres how it basically works: Spirit Weapons dmg is above average with the correct traitline, so combine that with your zerker dmg you will hit like a truck. The precision trait line allows your spirit weapons to remove boons so if you get the sigil you can effectively remove 5 boons instantly which is meant to strip your opponent (most importantly of stability). Then the Hammer spirit proceeds to pound your opponent into the ground with the activation skill, and then follows up with a knockback. Most opponents would waste stun breakers and such at this point which then you follow up with your own cc. Hammer works better but greatsword is just as viable while the mace/sword focus provides some sustain. Using the Shield spirit you will make all projectile based weapons class useless for its nearly constant uptime plus it can also secure stomps. The sword spirit will just be for basic dps and is would be one utility that could be switched out if necessary. The Idea is that you initiate a fight with massive boon strip, then proceed to cc down your target all the while using full zerker dps. Some counters are constant stealth classes which will be hard to fight against and Necro’s Plague Form. Again, this is just a trolly build but it can be used very effectively against 1v1’s. (You only have 30 seconds to kill your opponent so don’t miss XD)

Me and some guildies have been playing around with how burning mechanic works (or lack of rather) since most other conditions have some wonky effects. Poison reduces healing by 50%, chill adds 66% to your recharge rate, torment does double dmg to moving targets for example. We kinda decided on changing burning into like a 3 tier condition based on intensity. To put it simply tier 1 is a basic burn that does moderate dmg like say 75% of what it does now, when the stacks get high enough it puts the condition into t2 which could be like 100% dmg, and past that with more stacks puts it into t3, which is the really fun part. The debuff starts applying t1 burning to nearby targets while doing intense dmg to the original target lets say 125%. To me it sounds logical cuz fire spreads right? and it will add more options to a guardians condition dmg build since it is extremely hard to play if at all. Just an idea we have been playing with.
That could be interesting. Fire spreading would make sense, but how do you think that’d play into the Necromancer’s epidemic?
Its just an idea atm so nothing really thought out behind just a basic idea. But I think it would be kittenely amazing to have a necro epidemic a t3 burn XD. Of course a balance to that could be they only spread the t1 version of it

Attempted to test Hallowed Ground’s boon duration with my boon duration build and I don’t see any increase in both my stats or the buff I am applying. Confirm?
I did see a difference in the Mists – Are you close to 100% boon duration with your gear already?
You won’t notice an increase if you’re hitting the cap. Also make sure you don’t test using Focused Mind’s Fury – it doesn’t seem to get affected by duration runes currently, so perhaps it doesn’t get a boost from HG either
Ah alright. I was already at cap and just went back and retested. I won’t show in stats but I can see the boon duration increase now. Thanks!
