Still bugged, and so am I!

First, thanks for looking at my post. I bought the game yesterday in PC-DVD version. I completely installed the game, getting to the part where I could press “play.” I got the “black screen of death” numerous times and had to do a hard restart each time.

One of the tries, I was able to log in and create a character. I only stayed on for a few minutes to play.

This morning, after multiple black screens, I followed the suggestion threads at the top to update ATI and still no luck. I had my husband (who is a network admin) play around with it. After hours of trying everything he could think of, he uninstalled the game.

When I start the installation by inserting the disc, I get the initialization screen, it installs 10,145KB, then wipes out and returns with a screen that briefly flashes 0KB/0KB. I have turned my firewall off.

Please, if you have any ideas, I’d be willing to try. Thank you in advance!
