OBLIGATORY INFORMATION BLURB

[POOF] is a long standing GW2 guild founded with the ideals of being maturely immature and having a solid group of people that respect and enjoy to play the game with one another. We have a heavy focus on PvE i.e. open world, world bosses, and instanced group content like fractals and dungeons. RP is welcome amongst our members and while we don’t necessarily have events or a focus on it, we have a few folks that will find themselves casually having a tavern night or things like that! We have a handful of people that do their daily t4 fractals and know the ins and outs of all the old core-tyria dungeons if you are interested in intanced group content.

Our guild’s active playtime is between 6-10pm PST, with a scattering of people on nearly around the clock. We’re about mid-sized so there are usually a decent (10-15ish) amount of folks on during our peak hours.

Our WvW game is pretty weak as we currently don’t have enough members interested enough in roaming to tout it as a feature of our guild.

ESPORTS

We have a few people extremely interested in PvP and considering that max queues for ranked S5 is a duo queue, if you’re interested in doing ranked queues as a side thing, we can definitely offer that a bit.

MEMBERSHIP PERKS

We have a lvl 60 Gilded Hollow with all Tavern/Market/Workshop Buffs which means we have a fully decked out Scribing station with all the wvw upgrades needed for speed-leveling scribing, every maxed out (10-20%) tavern drink, every daily harvest node fully upgraded and a three use commendation merchant along with the minipet vendor and the guild hall-only weapon and armor skins vendor.

We have a well paid Holo- Dancer(http://i.imgur.com/NBXdroj.png) to greet you as you return from your weary travels in the guild hall, along with a seating area to enjoy a refreshing cold brew.

We also have on-call fashion wars experts for any outfit needs you may have for alts.

I will occasionally run [HP trains](https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4meiai/poof_nopants_hot_hero_point_and_mastery_point/) for all available members and even have some reddit community nights of a train through the first 3 HoT maps to net you enough HoT hero points to get you an elite spec. It’s usually a slow go but we like to gather into mumble and have ourselves a great (and usually drunken) time with eachother as we proceed with shenanigans. No mastery rank is required as I usually port everyone to everything.

And the most notable perk: You get to meet some of my favorite people I’ve ever met online, and hopefully find yourself a GW community to call home.

I guess I could see that getting misinterpreted..(I’m American and had no idea poof had any sort of other connotation since I’d never heard it used before) but they only changed our name…not our tag. it just seems so strange, because say your guild was Potentially Offensive [ODOR] or something like that. It’s all very tongue in cheek silly…and I couldn’t see them force changing something like that. That’s the kind of guild we are, and it is really sad to see the clever (in our minds) name that we came up with gone, and replaced by something we don’t identify with or have any attachment to. Some of us poured over 300gold personally to get us going in the beginning, and you’ll find many of us with gem store carpets, back flags, guild banner tonics and kites, proudly representing our guild.

also…our full guild name was called out on the official guild wars 2 Twitter when we brought our heroes banner to PAX, seems like they wouldn’t have called us out if our name was a problem.

Hey, POOF co-founder here, I just wanted to chime in with my two cents because our name actually had a lot of light-hearted meaning behind it, and many of our members are upset and confused as to why we had our name changed without any warning.

We started out as a group of refugees from a dying guild, and many of us had become close friends, so we sat around in mumble one night trying to decide on a name for a new guild. The fact came up that many of us had been doing trivia in Lions Arch (before mega server on Tarnished Coast) and we’d started a trend of only asking questions on Asura Mesmers all with the name Poof (Cause mesmers, you know, poof around and such) We’d actually gotten known around the server for our trivia and prize-giveaways and so it was only natural to base our new guild around the word POOF. (Also, it was kinda adorable to see a Dr Poof [POOF] and Inquisitor Poof [POOF] running around.) A few night’s worth of discussion and the gem "Potentially Offensive was thrown out. It was perfect. It abbreviated into our tag, and perfectly matched our light-hearted occasionally adult humor. No one ever did anything to outwardly offend anyone within our guild, and we have strict rules on conduct with random members of the guild wars community, since we were founded on the pride of being upstanding server-members. We are quite proud of our member-base and I’ve met some of my closest friends through this guild. We’d really love a reconsideration of the name change, since many of us are rather upset that our name was changed regardless of the fact that it wasn’t offensive or violate the Guild Wars 2 naming policy found here:

Have 10 lvl 80 characters, and even tried unlocking it with a new low level. Completely broken at the past 5 locations I’ve tried.

Having this problem too. I’m not about to buy an extra uninfused version of this ring when i already have 4 infused ones _

Confirming this as well, tried doing p2 last night and the cutscene before belka never triggered, we tried 5 different times, reopening each time. Tried killing every mob on the way there, tried stealthing, it’s completely broken.

So people were talking about charr andthey are my favorite race in this whole game! (Also totally the first reason why I preordered GW2 was because I found out you could be a charr and they were one of my favorite enemies in GW1) So just for funsies, here are 3 of my charr for light med and heavy ^^
