This is not clarifying the issue that most people are trying to make on the forum, could someone please directly answer the concerns that are being put forward by the community instead of redirecting the conversation.

Again, referring to my previous post, all long term players are basically paying double for the exact same thing that a new player is getting. We paid once at original GW2 release for the game, now we are paying again for a expansion. New players are paying once for the expansion, and getting the original release for no additional cost. To be fair maybe Anet should give All long term GW2 players a refund for the original purchase so we can all enjoy this “free core game offer” when we buy the expansion. I guess its about treating potential new players better than those who have been around for months or even years? Regardless of your argument, this is not set up right at all. To repeat myself again, there needs to be a “expansion only” purchase option. Please make it right Anet.

I’m another long term member of Guild Wars (played GW1 since 1st year of release) and yet I hardly ever visit the forums to comment. That being said, I had to respond to the pricing set for the new HOT expansion. I personally see the current options as completely unfair for long term players of GW2. Why should long term players that have already bought the game once be expected to pay the same amount as a new player will pay to get both the core game and the expansion? That makes no sense whatsoever. The long term players are basically paying double the price for the exact same thing. We are getting punished for being long term players and supporting the game since day one? Anet you really dropped the ball on this one. I have been a big supporter of the gem store as well, as I’m sure a lot of other long term players have. This is yet another avenue where long term players have pumped more money into the game than new players. Im going to have to seriously consider my ongoing support of gem store items, very much disappointed with you Anet … you really blew this one. Someone needs to make this right and offer a expansion only purchase option at a lower price

The living world updates I have no problem with, it’s actually good to get new content more than once a year as is not the case with many other game in the same genre. That being said, are we ever going to get an actual expansion? Living world should be used to bridge the gap between expansions, not be the replacement for them. Living world is not giving us new races to use such as Skritt and Tengu. There are also very large unopened areas on the world map which I’m sure were always put there to be used in a coming expansion. In any matter, I hope living world updates are not going to put a game expansion on the back burner for a long period of time.

These bday presents are not special at all. Not only do you get several Queen Jennah mini’s ….. Everyone gets several Queen Jennah mini’s. There is nothing that sets your gift apart from everyone Else’s. If mini’s were to be a rewards, that’s fine. However, why not make it as was in GW1? The mini’s could have been a random pick from the mini’s now available, or there could have been another set created all together.

The scrolls I may use some day, maybe when (or maybe I should say “if”) new races are available and I actually will have 1 or more toons that are lvl 19 or less. As for right now, useless. One year of game play was plenty of time to get every one of my toons above lvl 20.

That leaves the buff. Lovely, the only useful item is a consumable.

Definitely very disappointed in the bday presents as well
