But you don’t play 7 weeks against drakkar? You had two times the matchup against FoW and Vabbi. That should be enough to get the archivement done or at least a lot of it, if you don’t play that much.

I got the archivement on monday after league starts… so i don’t had to care about it for the next 6 1/2 weeks.

Bronzeleague is already over. Surmia will win this and the next matchup. RoF and Dzagonur will be both on second place this week. And next week the only chance that RoF can get to third place at the end of the league they will have to be on first place, drakkar on second and dzag on third. but i think this will not happen.
So the league will end with 1. Drakkar 2. Surmia 3. Dzagonur and 4. Ring of Fire.

try to have as lot of fun as possible the last two weeks.

Perhaps but the less server in one league the more even the matches.
For me the best matchups i had before the change in wvw. we had often to face the same servers, but these matches were nearly even and made fun every week.

they should have changed the range to an range of the next two servers above and among. than there would be enough variety in the matchups but anet overplayed it with too random matchups.

Last time Drakkar faced UW, they ended the week with more points than Drakkar and if they start in the next bronzeleague perhaps a few more guilds will play there.

Sadly that there are 27 Servers and not 24 or 28. 4 leagues would be better for all of us i think. Servers like Drakkar, GH or UW are too strong to play in bronze and not strong enough for silver.

In a matchup vs RoS and Drakkar they will not even get near to 100k points.
Only matchups with 3 nearly even opponents will be first and last week – DL RoF Dzag
RoS has the advantage that all the guilds moved there in the last week so they stayed 4th place before league and so they don’t have to face two strong servers in one matchup. but i would like to see how they managed a matchup RoS-RoF-Dzag.

after a few minutes it was clear that no one will kill the other and we could fight until reset. and thanks to the warrior that doesn’t attacked us while fighting

today i was on arborstone bl north of the bay.

yeah sadly we have a lot of pve’ers (the guys which only try to get archievements) in wvw right now. there are some who try to do real wvw but that are only a few of them i think.
and today they put the living story into wvw too, so that doesn’t make it better

I’m only roaming alone. And that was not meant only for people of FoW or Arborstone, same for players of Drakkar. If i have a 1on1 and someone of my server starts “helping” me i stop fighting and wait until one of them i dead.

a few 1on1’s i had today. especially thx to the ranger.
First try we were interrupted but i think we could have fought for much longer.
Second try you got me. I think you dodged nearly every stun i tried. Nice!

Please if there are two guys fighting… don’t attack… 1on1’s are the only thing that makes fun this week and is challenging. don’t ruin that.

Perhaps you should try to kill the enemies first? If you can’t do that, there’s no need to kill the lord except for the dragonite
Most of the time i see 9 of 10 people hitting only the lord and after he is killed attacking the “real” enemies. no wonder that they can easily ress the lord. Kill many people as possible, focus the waypoint with aoe so the spawning guys will die nearly instant because most of them have no time to cast any buffs.

There are enough who didn’t want something like that on DL. This is also not a alliance of the whole server but of a few guys/commanders. I know that many on DL didn’t know about that, especially the players who are most time on homelands or on the green bl. also the guys at primetime at rof bl i think didn’t know that because we had que on green and red bl. But a few guy at the right time make the difference. If you look at the points on mos.millenium DZ made the whole week per tick and the ticks thursday and friday…

Until now the zergs i run with were not doing a coop with them but now i got in one that does it really crappy way. Didn’t noticed it yet. I’m sad to see this and didn’t believe that the people that i play with the whole time, even when we get punished by baruch, are able to do something like that.

I hope there is no alliance. Exploiting situations to the utmost to make points for 2nd place makes sense though. I think dzago tried to do everything at the start and then switched to a race to try getting 2nd place.

Can’t say that some People won’t do such stuff as not attacking each other (like i saw from all three Servers in Ruins) but i prefer to think that those are Individums not the mass of players.

I’m sorry but you were right. There is an alliance between DL and DZ -_- that sucks really and i’m p*ssed. Sry that some of us are doing such a bad play. That’s no fairplay.

1. we had problems the whole week on our homelands to get enough people staying at our commander. I posted a picture two days ago how it looks if we were attacked.
2. this evening we had a event for all new wvw players started at 8 p.m. to explain whats going on in wvw, why they shouldn’t build rams themself at gates etc etc etc
3. I was standing 4 times this day inside the keep of DZ on EB but we were not able to get it. they really seem to get a lot of people for the last hours to wvw. at the same time we attacked the bay at DZ dl and it took hours to get that.
4. On eb there was a karmatrain nearly all the week because there were so many pve players for the stomemist archivement and the archivement for hylek/ogers. Every time i was there the zerg startet at one side and if they get the towers of them they startet to attack the other side.

On our TS they thought you and dz were playing together against us at the start of the week. A few times at night you and dz came to our keep at exactly the same time. both with golems and attacked different sides. but i think it often only looks like two servers will do something like that.

There is really no special cooperation between DL and DZ.
I wasn’t at garni but a bit earlier this day on red bl and we were wiped by DZ at Bay and Hills the whole time.
if i would face another server in the garni (or hill or bay) i would also not try to wipe them especially if there is a waypoit. First target is to get rid of the wp. if we did, dz and dl would have lost many players and you would have wiped both i think. I would do same if RoF and DL were in garni of DZ. Final fight will be in the lordroom with all 3 servers but if we attack between outer and inner gate we would help the server who ownes the garni and that is at that point not our target.

there was a try earlier this day to attack the green bl but there were too many of DZ and our “zerg” had only 10-12 players. after a few wipes we tried another bl.

I really hope you can get back on your feet and defend the second place.
I had more nice fights against RoF. Especially 1on1’s. I couldn’t find lot of DZ for a 1on1. Most ran away until they reached 3-4 of their mates and were loughing after they killed me after a time 4:1 although i got 2 of them to downstate.

You are less than 4k points infront of Dzag. Don’t get lazy now! 30 hours left.

To be honest today was bad in EB you have both (DZ & DL) spent all day in our corner there was a karma train from both of you that left each other alone, you both attacked our keep at the same time and even resulted in building balistas in Spelden (the only camp we had) to stop us upgrading mendons (the only tower we had), just don’t complain when we treat you the same way!! Seiging up camps here we come!!

I don’t complain. I can live with that. There will ever be a time when two servers are attacking the third. there are only 3 servers so the chance is high.
Or perhaps its the problem to be on second place in a matchup. Dzag would try to get on second place so they attack you and we try to stay infront of you so we attack you if you have a high tick.

Haven’t had skilllags at Teq yet. There only can join around 100? player? In wvw perhaps 80-100 player of each server.

3. i agree 100% haven’t seen that much flaming in the last month that we have sometime at one day now.

send 1 mesmer to jp… and if you are next time at arah’s hope/godslore/faithleap just make it in 2 minutes. if that will cost all of your keeps, there is something other wrong…

jp’s take less than a hour all together. less if you use one of the many mesmers in there atm. If that is too much than don’t do it. I could understand if you don’t play eb that much so you don’t get the SM and the mercs archievement perhaps the eb jp too. And i can understand if you don’t want to do the ruins too. But there are 15 other you can get easy.

Demolition expert is one of the dumber ones i was talking about being rushed….and the problem rises from the rule “you have to use a siege”. This ruins everything. As you said…it makes ppl with no specialization in rams go and take rams..thus making ramming longer..thus making the whole group weaker. This is REALLY NOT GOOD! seriously not well thought out. Any explanation they come up with will not hold it’s ground against the reality of things. Why not make ppl that shoot the door for a considerable amount of time, get the achievement, regardless of the method?

World ranker to high…i don’t get this one. Should have been 30.

1. if you run with a zerg you will get 100 camps fast. Every Zerg takes the camps to get supplys.

2. you don’t have to use siege. only make enough damage on gates. i got my 30 points without any siege.

3. 50 isn’t to high. If you think it is, play alts. There you can get 5 ranks in nearly 1 hour.
first 5 ranks only take 1000 wxp. after that 5000 wxp each rank.

For the record. These archievements are not supposed to get by every casual gamer who doesn’t play wvw normally. But the pve archievments are also not supposed to get by every wvw player who doesn’t play pve normally. You have to spend a little time for getting them. And thats just fine.

One thing has always puzzled me in wvw- why are people so afraid of pixels? I mean, it’s not like you die when your toon does, why do so many turn tail as soon as they see equal numbers or try and target the front of the enemy’s zerg whilst running backwards?

I like to be with less players than the others. Thats a challange. To run over 20 ppl with a 50ppl zerg is nothing special. The last few days mostly every one runs away. I ran through the ruins and saw two enemys. I attacked the first and than both ran like hell. i was a little disappointed.

Perhaps you should go back to PvE than. There you can troll the quaggans and don’t disturb people who like playing wvw.

the bl que seems pretty reasonable for primetime. not sure why you say 3 hour que for wvw when you mean 30 min que for wvw.

I didn’t say that we have 3 hours que for wvw. that was referred to your question to Awe. 3 hours que on eb. So we with rank 20 have also 3 hours. other maps are not that bad. but if you normally only had short queues on reset a que of 30 mins is long for our point of view.

Problem is that many of the pve players don’t want to learn. They are there to get the archivments and nothing else. I tried often. But at every gate there are flying more rams than needed and perhaps a cata and a treb.

I whisperd the guy who “stole” the omega to claim SMC alone but he said, he wants to play like he wants and golems are fun… yeha…

I tried to tell people not to repair the walls in SMC because 4 of them were broken already and the trebs are still shooting. Sadly i haven’t seen mats wasted tahst fast before and i melt away in minutes.

I tried to tell the guys in the ruins that they have to hold 3 of them at the same time for 3 minutes. But that would cost time and they want to get the archivement as fast as possible.

It’s hard to see in the picture but i am staying on the hill in the tower. I was scouting if there is perhaps a second group who will try to get the tower while we are in the garni.

Same thing happens when a wvw player is going to do arah.
“Oh you are a wvw player with wvw gear? No sry. Bye”
But the wvw players can’t decide with which players they will fight even if these players have a gear that doesn’t fit in wvw.
I can’t count how often i was flamed in dungeos because i don’t know every single step and spot. Now perhaps some pve players get a taste of their own medicine

Or you are only playing gvg’s and fight on open field. ^^

It’s not really hard. 450 kills many players did at reset already.
for the demolition expert you don’t have to use rams, catas or trebs… i haven’t used one of them and got the needed 30 points. Only thing you have to do is to make enough damage on a gate.

50 ruins are boring but if you play with 2 friends you can get the bloodlust for your server on all three maps easily.

JP’s are the worst thing because they don’t have anything to do with wvw except that they are there. But the 4 jp’s are done fast. the three bl jp’s need around 5 minutes each and the eb jp takes around 15 minutes. Half an hour wasted but there are other things i would complain about more.

and you don’t have to get it this week. you have 7 weeks to finish it. If your matchup is bad at the moment, next week perhaps you will be the strongest server.

but that all has nothing to say. if you are only doing karmatrains you gain ranks fast and if you are playing on goldleague servers you will get the most kills.
Ever tried to farm kills against servers with very low wvw population?

Didn’t seems to be hard. Saw some of our server and some of RoF staying at 1 ruin and flipping it over and over without attacking each other… some times i wish i could do friendly fire

Why do you all think a warrior can make high dmg AND have high life/toughness?
You have to decide or play a half/half build…
Not the Warriors does the damage in zergfights. Warriors are in the frontline so you maybe think they do but thats not how it works. In WvW most Warriors have high life and toughness so the other zerg can put their spells on them and they still can survive. The damage comes from the backline. Warriors are for stuns and not for dmg. If you play a full bersi warrior you will plop like popcorn in a microwave if you run into a big zerg. (some really well played full bersis maybe not that fast)

I’m skeptical about RoS. They have the highest number now, but they are also going against two definitely-still-tier-2 servers. We’ll have to see how they do against the top 3.

We have to face them in week 3 and 4. Will be interesting to see how they play against Dzagonur and RoF first. If RoS looses one of these matchups the bronze league would be decided short after start.
Hopefully the queues will be better soon. Had nearly queues all the time on all maps and had to wait hours to get in the game. And that in bronze league -_- do not wanna know how it is in gold league

Yeah, because we try every day to run with small guild group. Like yesterday.
And we can only kill solo roamers because those are the only ones that run without 20 friends in their back.

If we could make smaller groups with guildmembers we would. It’s a lot more effective than running in one zerg and i don’t like big blobs eigther. But only thing we could do is splitting the public zerg. But there are so many pve players without a clue of wvw running inside, that this would be a suicidecommando. And also a lot of these players don’t react on what the commander says. on sunday morning i nearly logged off, because i was so p*ssed of some of them.

at the primetime i mostly run alone or i’m running in little groups to capture the supplycamps or i’m scouting in the castles.
at night i run with the last people left and we jump from map to map to get a lucky shot.
Our guildgroups mostly can not run together till 10pm (if they are lucky) because of the horrible queues. but most of them have to work the other day, so they can’t do it for long and the first people will leave at 11 pm already to get to bed. Hopefully the archivements will be done as soon as possible. i hope the queues are not that long from today till friday so we cam run with organized guildgroups.
