Guild Wars 2

I’m new to ranger and don’t know if it is normal or bug:
I have named pets, but after change to other pet the name disappear.
Example:
I have named cat nad wolf. I switch them (F4) and is ok. But when I change cat to drake (or whatever), and then again to cat (via pet mangement window), the cat is without name (just Juvenile Jaguar).
Its about all pets, not only cats ofc.

4. This way is by far the fastest but also by far the most boring. clear every area in Guild Wars 2. what i usually do for a low level character is that i first go for the 5 starting areas for the 5 races. In this order
1. Plains of Ashford
2. Queensdale
3. Wayfarer Foothils
4. Caledon Forest
5. Metricia Province
If you are not level 80 by this point or if you do not have a guild which you can join in WVW you can Clear all the cities.

I dont know if I understand you correctly. You get level 1 toon, do all starting areas (with events, gathering etc) and you are near level 80? Right?

Thank you! You helped me a lot I will start with Necro. I think it is better for my playstyle than Ele.

One more question: Is it good idea to do dungeons on lower levels? I made some with my 80 lvl Mesmer with others lv 80, and I remember it was a bit hard.

Hello there!

I need a little help with class choice. So far I’ve been playing lvl 80 Mesmer, but i found it… boring (I play PvE, not PvP). Also the only weapons i really like are GS and Staff, and it’s hard to make build that supports both of them.

So i decide to reroll to a new class, which will be my new main (I want to put all my efforts into that new character, make a legendary weapon etc).
I want to play a magic-type class (I like their armours best), so the choice is between Necro and Ele.

Most of the time I play solo PvE (hearts, events, exploration). In future I would like to go for Dungeons (as DPS or some kind of support). I’m not interestet in PvP for now.

So which of those two classes – Necro or Ele – will be better for me? Which will have more playable builds, useful skills, survavilibity? Oh, and I really don’t like do die often.
I don’t care about recent nerfs/boosts because everything may change with next patch.
Unfortunatley I don’t have time to level up both (eh, work) and then decide, that’s why I’m asking you.
