Input Lag FIXED with NVIDIA ShadowPlay/Share
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Alyssakx.7103
Hey everyone, I’ve always had a problem with running NVIDIA ShadowPlay (or now Share) with Guild Wars 2 only, where if I had it turned on, GW2 will have major input lag where it’s completely unplayable even in PvE.
I’ve tried to fix it for a long time, contacting GW2 support and posting on NVIDIA’s forums, but I have finally found the fix to that, and support told me I should post it here to share it with anyone else with the same problem.
FIX: All you have to do is start GW2 in admin mode.
Thank you so much for the few GMs that helped me with the issue before I got to the fix.
Good luck Tyrians and see you in-game!
I used to be on a T9 server, but transferred to a T2/3 server a year ago, then now got linked with a T9 server. I already have a lot of concerns about the pairings, but these are very initial concerns, it will change over time.
To me in a T2/3 server:
- I love it, because it means there’s more activity everywhere.
- Most of them are nice to play with so far, I haven’t met everyone yet though.
- However it also means we’re now “Full”, I understand that it’s so that there won’t be a mass server switch.
To T9 servers:
- There are hostilities against them, because they play differently than higher tiers. (I hear some are even unwelcomed.
) Hopefully this will be gone in the near future, by communicating and co-ordinating between the 2 servers.
- Some lower tier server players would rather fight with and against a lower number, instead of blobbing everywhere and fight against blobs.
- Huge queues on reset yesterday night, I don’t think it will happen for the whole week, but maybe some players aren’t used to that.
I see the pros of changing the reset to Saturday night (on EU servers), as the patches would definitely have been annoying during reset.
However, I still vote for going back to Friday reset. This is because generally, people are more keen to look forward to a nice gaming night after a long week of uni/work. This applies more on a Friday night than Saturday night, especially if people are out drinking/travelling during the weekend.
Time-wise, 6pm UTC is definitely fine, and I don’t see why that needs to be changed. 6pm UTC is right before/the start of prime time each day. Imo, no matter when reset time is, the time should be kept at 6pm UTC.
I do agree it’s the first step to the right direction. Honestly I don’t know how it is for other servers, but the fact that there is such a big drastic change in borderlands basically made it deserted for our server. Since people couldn’t get used to the borderlands (and a lot of us don’t have time to try and get used to it), they just stick to EB only.
That, and the problem of night capping really has affected our server’s mentality. Mostly because we know they’ll win due to night capping anyways, so why even bother. Our server recently really only look for fights rather than doing PPT anymore. I really do hope one day Anet will push out something that would stop this problem. (I know someone has addressed the issue.) Either close WvW at night, or make it so that it doesn’t count as much, or don’t count at all. I understand that some players might play at night or early morning only, but still, there are plenty of time during the day to quickly do the dailies too.
