I’ve been having Sky Hammer come up an unbelievably high percentage of the time for awhile, I just assumed they had it more heavily weighted in the rotation since it was the newest map. No matter the reason, it is annoying to get the same map over and over and over…….

Elementalist-Dual Dagger/Cantrips build (Yes, even after nerf)
Necro-Staff/Stacked condition build
Mesmer-Scepter/Confusion build (Nerf seems to have helped, maybe too much)
Engineer-HGH build
Warrior-Greatsword/Hammer

…enough, you can do this with each build. The problem isn’t these builds really, and no I’m not crying for a nerf of them as most people do. The problem is each profession usually has one build that shines so much more than others. By all means, don’t nerf the above builds, but bring other builds in line with them. I hate feeling I have to play a particular build to be competitive.

A nerf was needed to confusion builds, anyone who says otherwise are fooling themselves. Having said that, it was too big of a nerf by far. Before we all cry doom and hold a mock funeral for our mesmers lets give it a bit, maybe Anet will adjust it back some if needed. They just un-nerfed the conceal nerf on thieves.

A build is coming. PvP/WvW goes down automatically when we are preparing to put out a new build.

How long until it comes out? Just want to know so I can get rid of the annoying pop up on my screen and at least play pve.

Yeah, had joined a tournament but before it started I got the same message. Logged off and back on, no update. Now I’m stuck in tournament que, but it never starts. Keep getting a window that pops up every 10 seconds are so counting down to tournament asking if I want to go now or wait, no matter what choice I make it gives me the message again about the new build.

Can’t even play in pve or wvw because of the constant pop up on the screen. Can’t play tourney, can’t quit tourney, go figure.

there is so much wrong with this attitude that i don’t even know where to start without setting the world on fire.

So strike match and let me know what’s wrong with it? Like I said, I have no issue with them once there is a proper mechanic in the game for them. Do you know how aggravating it is to hit that join now button and roughly half of the time get stuck in a room with “hey, we are dueling”. It’s a waste of my time, now I just proceed to capture points and kill whoever I come across if I can. I end up being the bad guy for playing the game as intended.

Thieves will just be useless now. I really don’t understand the point of this nerf. The class that was supposed to be strongest of all in 1v1 combat, will become the weakest.

Who says thieves are suppose to be the strongest of all in 1vs1 combat? That is the problem. I play a thief as well, truthfully this will not affect me one bit. This only affects glass cannon builds that want to have you almost dead before you see them. Is it the best solution, maybe not, but its effective. Something had to be done.

I’m new to spvp, usually play wvw, only lvl 22. I’m just trying to figure out if there is a report feature for people on your team who never leave the keep or go out and die on purpose and don’t respawn? I had four games straight tonight where that happened, three times a person never left the keep, the fourth they died in a bout 30 seconds and just stayed there.

Has this always been rampant in the spvp here or is this something new?

We are getting it on both of your PC’s, both running ATI graphic cards.

This game already favors Offense too much. It takes half a day to upgrade structures all the way and tons of manhours of WORK (not play)…just to lose it all in literally a few minutes to a zerg.

Now you can’t even use catapults to defend against rams at the gate? WRONG DIRECTION arenanet.

If anything you should triple the hitpoints of structures and a whole list of other defensive advantages like safe places for cannons and mortars…

Have no problem with improving defensive capabilities of structures, as a matter of fact I would say it’s needed, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the change to catapults. Even if you don’t believe they were never intended to work that way, from a gaming standpoint it’s just silly. You would be helping to destroy your own door.

And for Devona’s Rest. Was in EB for a short while, client crashed. When I try to go there now I get an error message saying to check internet connection, but I’m fine in all of the PVE and PVP areas of the game.

Don’t mind losing, lord knows we spent enough time in tier 8 and we are use to it, but I swear I don’t remember EB players being such….well I can’t say what without getting banned, but it’s a shame. Haven’t experienced this the last few weeks, not sure what is different tonight. It’s a shame.

Yeah, that was a heck of a battle at SM, the most fun I’ve had in WvW in months. Thanks to everyone involved on all servers.

Not cool? What did you expect? The food was op, anyone who used it knew this less than a month after launch.

some classes have more healing than others. i just lost my most important tool for survival against enemies that greatly outnumber me.

And what makes you think you should survive if you are greatly outnumbered?

Welcome aboard! I’ve played several MMO’s over the years, but SWTOR was the last one I played before coming to GW2, it’s amazing how much better this game is. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but that came just never felt right. I could never get over the game engine long enough to try and enjoy any other aspects of the game.

I agree with all of the things you like about GW2, it’s the first MMO in awhile to really grab my attention and keep it. Take care and I hope you continue to enjoy!

I was the commander of the defense and I haven’t had a battle like that in WvW in a long time. Great job to everyone involved! Even though we lost it..

Indeed! I had the pleasure of being part of this battle, though on the eventual losing end, and it was epic. Most fun I’ve had in WvW since joining the game. Great fight on both sides, much respect to all.

Just so you know Kendiara we had the same exact issue. We bought two digital copies for another couple, they used the keys and got in to play. After about an hour one of them was disconnected and got the same message your daughters friend did. Today makes a week and we still haven’t received any help with the issue. We did notice that the charge for one of the copies of the game was removed from our cards, I bet if you check your bank account you will see you weren’t billed either. Our only question is if we buy him another key and he adds it to the same account is it going to be blocked again.

In reference to my previous unanswered post about incident: 121201-000356, it appears the money was refunded for one of the copies we purchased for friends. If we buy our friend another copy and they apply it to the same account is that one going to be blocked as well? Does he need to create an entire new account even though he did nothing wrong, it was just concern on your behalf or our banks behalf because we made back to back purchases? We are just asking for a response and a little clarification on this, I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Today has been a week we have been trying to get some information on this.

They both activated the accounts, but about an hour into us all playing one of the them was disconnected from the game and received a message that the account was suspended.

He turned in support ticket a week ago with no response yet, I turned in one 5 days ago with a response that it would be elevated, but now it appears as closed with no further response. We are just trying to find out the reasoning behind the suspension and if it is being looked into at all? I don’t know if there is some confusion because I purchased the digital codes and emailed them and they were registered in another state or what? They had both played on the free to play weekend and I assume added the digital codes to the account created then, would that cause an issue?

Has anyone found support number you can call? I hate to start trying to call corporate in Bellevue, Washington, that would be silly to have to do. Any help is appreciated.
