I’ve fallen in love with my Asura Guardian. Finally had the time to get him to 80 yesterday and geared him.

I doubt he’s very unique but I like him a lot. I was trying to go with a kind of “knight” look — heavily armored and kind of futuristic with the cultural armor. He also looks like a transformer or something with the CoE Helmet.

Celestial and Daffodil Dyes. I originally had Spring Tide as main color and Lime Ice as the trim, but I really wanted to incorporate a gold look like everyone else always does haha. I also could not find a GS skin that I really liked that I could afford right now, so I’m just going with Mystic for now.

I really love my Ranger in WvW. Yes, I do feel weak and useless sometimes, but I still have fun most of the time. And sorry but I am one of those Longbow Zerker Rangers.

Actually, I only have full Zerkers (with Ruby Orbs) armor, Zerker ascended amulet, and Knight’s Longbow. The rest of my gear are high level rares, simply because I am playing a Warrior on the side and want to save some money for him. On switch, I have axe and warhorn.

Yes, I am pretty squishy at times, but zerging really isn’t bad. I do feel like I’m doing something raining down arrows, pet buffs, water field blasting, and muddy terrain-ing. Obviously once things break down I pretty much have no choice but to run but it’s still a lot of fun. Also, positioning is very important. I find it fairly difficult to kite effectively with a Longbow as opposed to a Shortbow, so you really need to play smart and take chances at the right time. It’s fun!

It works a little in small group roaming but obviously the mobility isn’t really there. I don’t want to grind to change my gear set to change to Shortbow/Spirits/Condi, so this will have to do!

I’ll take on the four-set Ranger haha.

I think it’s obvious I love your second set haha.

I don’t understand all the trash talk coming from IoJ about the current matchup. DR is primarily a PvE server so with something huge like Clockwork Chaos of course you’ll dominate the scoreboard for WvW. Serious WvW has been dead the entire week, even reset night was unimpressive.

The excuse “X server is a PvE server” is overused… I recall FC saying that when they first lost #23 to ET (the week I came to ET). GoM used the same excuse when they dropped to T8 and lost (saying it was SAB fault). HoD used the same excuse when they didn’t caused the (Ho)Domination of T8 they promissed. ET also used this excuse many times…

The only servers that aren’t focused on PvE are gnashing each other for the first place (JQ/SoR/BG). Even the Tarnished Coast (which is the #4) is a PvE based server (They love Dolyak parades and RP stuff), so anything under that cannot use the excuse of “PvE based”.

PvE events dent WvW population? Yes, they definetly do… But it will happen on DR, on ET, on IoJ, on anyone down here… The only thing is that IoJ actually have more people even without the guys that are killing Scarlet minions. So let us (not only DR) stop pretending that Clockwork Chaos is the reason that we are “losing”, and try to have fun with the population imbalance we have been put against.

I wasn’t excusing DR from anything. Yes, I know that many servers say that they are PvE servers. It probably is a very common “excuse”. What I’m saying is that since DR is not known to have many hardcore WvWers, it’s obvious you will not see many DR in WvW this week. My post was a response to all the IoJ that are talking trash and proclaiming their dominance. Is IoJ better than DR? Maybe, maybe not. But we certainly won’t find out this week. You wouldn’t believe how dead WvW has been for us. So I simply was just addressing all the trash talkers saying “ppt”. You can’t think that IoJ can dominate WvW that much with DR and ET actually playing WvW consistently this week. Of the 3 in this current matchup, there had to have been a server that plays more often than the other two so that they end up taking most of the map.

Basically, the trash talking this week from all 3 servers is nonsense. There’s no chance to back it up so why even do it?

Just take a step back and realize that maybe DR hasn’t “given up” but most are doing the living story. I’m sure the same is happening for ET. Give it all a rest and just enjoy the dull repetitive living story for this week haha

On a different note, I hate that DR is focusing on the living story. I’ve had some fun in WvW so far but we are always outnumbered. Oh well, no repair costs!

Wish we could give you a better fight though. It would be an entirely different week in WvW if the invasions weren’t so farm-worthy. Till next we meet I guess!

For some reason I felt like playing a female Ranger would look better. I must say, I do like the way she looks!

There are some really awesome looking Rangers in here by the way. In my opinion, there aren’t many jaw-dropping options for skins but people did a great job of mixing and matching, along with utilizing colors well!
