I’m missing a few hints in the skills/traits category. All the ranger hints and shatter illusions for mesmer. I’ve made a mesmer to shatter illusions and I’ve made a ranger to charm, swap and control pets. They still arent completed :/ Anyone got an idea how to fix this?
- If your personal level is 15, and you run, for example, a lvl 1 fractal, you get rewards based on that fractal level, so you’ll get pooer rewards.
- If you run a fractal of a level higher than your personal lvl, you get rewards according to your own lvl (lvl 15, in this case).
Thanks
This might be a silly question, but I couldn’t get a good answer from the wiki;
I have a reward level 15. If I do a level 1 fractal, do I get rewards as if I did a level 15 fractal? Or is reward level just preventing me from getting level 30 rewards if I did a level 30 fractal?
I have 1 character I increase my level with, and 1 character that doesn’t have AR. I do low level fractals with the other one, and he seems to get poor rewards.
how are your bags not bursting over with bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments? dragonite ore was always my limiting factor
Hehe, I guess it depends on play style. I always had too much dragonite ore. I have an event tracker that says PLING whenever a chest event I haven’t done is up. I’m a student, so I have GW2 up while studying – just doing the chest events when they are up.
Nice vid, but would love to see a good reference map with all locations marked to use as while farming.
Yeah, that’s a good idea, especially if you have two monitors. From my own experience, the list of waypoints is more than enough though. After you find a chest once, you’ll remember it the next time. Memory seems to work well with rewards I guess
I’ve made a new post with a much better route, please take a look
With all these world/living world events I’m filling my bags with dragonite ore and bloodstone dust. Now what is left is farming 25 dungeons to get my vision crystal...I’ve been trying to find a quicker and more reliable way to get empyreal fragments.
After I made a chest run video a few weeks ago, I’ve been working on a more efficient run. I quickly found out that my old run had flaws, and that there are a lot of quickly accessable chests lying around waiting to be looted:)
When you’ve learned this route you can farm fragments as fast as doing dungeons in 6,5 minutes. As a bonus comes a crapload of loot for salvage, and a few rares. The most convenient part is that you can do this solo, and repeat with your toons for x times 160 fragments a day.
I’ve made an educational video that should be easy to follow. Click here to watch:)
This is how things work – you always have to pay a rediculous amount to have that little, tiny edge. Ascended items are barely better than exotics, and exotics are almost free considering they are end-game viable. I think it is only fair – and it adds some sort of extra value to the ascended items
This was a big help for me! So I thank you! One thing I will say though is that some of the locations you picked are a tad bit sub-optimal like the jumping puzzles. I will be replacing those during my runs. Other than that, it’s a good guide!
Yes, some are much quicker than others. If you know any chest that are quicker please let me know. As for jumping puzzles, you should at least keep the one in caledon forest since it gives 7-10 fragments alone
do you have this dotted on a map or something. would be really easy to look at that while running in the zones.
You mean for myself when I do the run? I have it in my head. I had a post-it note on my monitor with the WPs for a while, but after a few runs it sticks
First time you do it you shouldnt expect to do it in 30 minutes though :P
Pretty handy for me, empyreal fragments are always the material I’m shortest on as I don’t typically do most of the activities that get you a ton of them. Thanks
Glad to be of help
I’ve all ready posted this link in the crafting forum, but I think it might be more suited here
I’ve made a guide to picking up 75-90 empyreal fragments in 30-35 minutes solo. You can do this will all your toons, gaining around 150-170 fragments pr. hour. Hope you find this helpful!
Here is a link to a guide I put up on Youtube.
Empyreal fragments were a bottle neck for me, since I was doing alot of world events and not that much dungeons. Farming dungeons can be quite unreliable with wiping and group disbanding, so I sought out an alternative.
I found a route that yields bout 75-90 fragments in 30-35mins (depending on profession and player skill). With 2 characters this is 1.6 empyreal stars a day!
I’m sure there are many videos like this, I tried to make mine easy to follow and with some explaining along the way. Enjoy!
