Grenades, Thief shortbow, ranger arrow wolley, Elementalist meteor shower.
Those are few examples of area of effect skills that can be used with a new button that I have in mind.
The real problem is for me the grenades, it is agony to use the grenade tool kit in a pleasant way, because of the constant tapping of ‘1’ that represents the 1 skill button + navigating the mouse over the moving target.
The second example is the fact that thief’s don’t use constantly their aoe skills because of targeting problems, leaving a ton of unspended iniciative. This does lover the combat effectivnes.
So i come up a simple 2 ways of solving this. Still changing only weapon skills:
1. A miniature button near the f1 skills or somewhere near, that switches ground based skills to skills that lock on the selected target NPC or player.
2. Ctrl + alt (or other key combo), on special skills will make them lock on the selected NPC or player, note that this will need to enable multiple skill “lockups”.
Note, playing a engineer as a grenader now, isn’t a pleasure.
